I followed an internet offer for a free sample of skin products, expecting to pay a shipping and handling fee of almost $20.  My wife did not like the products so I did not order more.  However my credit card was charged $175.94 but I had not received the unordered products.  I called the internet company and was told that it was automatically a subscription when I completed the sample request and I have to pay the billing, but would not be charged additional charges beyond the $175.94.
