Subcsribed March , 2015 to one year of free AVAST anti-virus software. Had to give credit card info and checked boxes to choose Non-Auto Renewal and no other software. Downloaded anti-virus, ran once. Popups indicated PC had some grime that needed to be removed, asked for subscriptions to be added for SAFEZONE AND GRIMEFIGHTER apps at charges to be added to my credit account. I declined both. Used anti-virus all of 2015, then got a notice March 14, 2016 that anti-virus would be renewed March,30, 2016 and $49.99 charges would be applied to my charge account unless I checked a box before March 30, 2016 to decline. I did decline the additional softwares before March 30, 2016. Received charges from DRI-River on my account in APRIL. Disputed credit account charges and wrote AVAST to cancel all subscriptions and refund all excess charges to my account. They said that they cancelled all charges to my account.

Addition to Grimefighter problems!

I removed Avast anti-virus program from pc. My plan did not include Grimefighter, because I declined paying extra for it after installing the "FREE" AVAST anti-virus software. Then after un-installing AVAST, the Grimefighter self activated and hi-jacked my PC. I can not use it at all and have lost access to my PC, all my personal files, photos and programs that I have invested many hundreds of dollars in. Grimefighter stops normal PC startup, starts Grimefighter, checks for "Grime" then says there are thousands of bad files, inoculates those files and turns the PC off. I have tried to start my PC about a hundred times and always get the same Grimefighter action. I think that AVAST has committed criminal actions against me because I refused to be blackmailed into paying them for programs that I do not want! They owe me for a fix or replacement of my PC. I would be afraid of having them do the fix!
