This company is a good company for anti-virus but for some reason they are giving me a run around about a refund for Avast! credit monitoring service. Well heres the story; I signed up for the service in December 2012. I was billed $9.99 a month for this service. I was billed once on Dec 11 2012 for service through Jan 11. I got to use my service then but here is the big BUT.... Their payment place digital river somehow canceled my account on autobill and my credit monitoring fee was charged for the 2nd month anyways for $9.99 and my account was not recoverable they said when I called their 1800 number of a bunch of idiots that have nothing to do with avast service they only handle ID theft service and account problems and sign ups... Well I was billed for a service I never got to use right? Then they tell me to sign up for a new account which they did manually over the phone.. So my credit card got billed another $9.99 when they already owe me $9.99! Why couldn't they just re-activate my old account its all digital rivers fault not avasts. They admitted their fault to me. So I asked how do I get refund? They said go on the website under support and look up your order by order number and password or by email and last 5 digits of mastercard. So I did and there is absolutely no refund button on there... So I call back the 1800 number and they said "I'm sorry we don't know the number to avast, you must contact them directly... So I finally found a phone number and its suppose to be customer service of avast that number is 952-908-5150 which is suppose to be... They told me once I called them after wasting 30 minutes of my prepaid cellphone minutes which are limited in number they gave me a run around and said their is nothing they can do from their end... They say I had to email avast with my personal confidential info to orders@avast.com and include my order number, phone and name, address, etc and reason for the refund.. Well I did send them emails... 4 over a period of 1-2 weeks.. I have called this phone number back the 952 one 4 times and they say Oh they will get back to you in 24 hours or less... They say I should of had a confirmation email from them... Well 5 emails and 6 phone calls later and more phone time with my credit card company filing chargebacks against these slackers... I canceled my new account and want my refund of the old previous account of $9.99 and the new charge of $9.99 back on my mastercard.  I cannot believe this company is being like this they are such a reputable company... I bought Avast Internet Security software anti virus protection for only $20 and its saved my pc many times... Their customer service system sucks and they suck period with this credit monitoring and their so called easy refunds policy on this product.. Well Anti- Avast I say! Give me my freakin $20 bucks back to my card!
