AVERY AIR CONDITIONING rip-off! Dishonest cheater! Dallas Texas

I was called by a client of mine to come to his house and look at some water damage and give him a bid to fix two ceiling spots caused by the air conditioner in the attic. I went out to start the job on Wednesday and i recieved a call from Robin the superentendent of Avery Air Conditioning. I was asked if i would give him a bid to fix the bathroom ceiling because they were responsable for the water damaged caused to the bathroom ceiling and that the man that does this work could not get to it right away.Robin said he would meet me at the job at 9:30am i was there but he called and said he was running late and he would be there at 10:30.

When robin arrived we went upstairs and looked at the damage and i gave Robin a price of 500.00 dollars to tear out the whole ceiling replace insolation install new sheetrock tape bed and texture and paint the ceiling and to kilz the ceiling where the two sinks were,there is a divider on the ceiling in the same bathroom and paint that ceiling too. I did all the work and i faxed in my invoice in to Avery Air Conditioning and called to see if they recieved my invoice they said they did but someone would have to go out and inspect the job, i said that would be fine so that was thursday that i did the job and friday i faxed in the in voice.

On friday one of Averys Salesman went out to see the job and right in front of the home owners he made a remark they didnt even do a good job look at this discoloration. Well on Friday i was going to paint but the ceiling was still wet so i told the home owner i would paint it on monday and they were just fine with that.Monday i did paint all four ceilings after i called Avery and let them know i was completley finished and the owner Ray Setzer told me he wasnt even going to pay me for the job because he did not approve it. Well on tuesday i waited for someone to call me but i never got a call that day.

I called Robin to see what had happened and he said that Ray wanted to go out to the job with me and look at the ceiling.I called Ray and he said he didnt want to go out to the job he didnt even want to see me at all and that he had a check for me in the amount of 250.00 and to take it or leave it.I started explaining to him that it was not just a 2ftx2ft piece that i replaced it was a 6ftx4ft piece and a 2ftx5ft piece and i had to replace all the insolation and he called me a lier. He said that i did not install new insolation i have the reciept from lowes and the new insolation evedince is in the attic above the bathroom ceiling that i replaced and the rest of the roll is in my truck. He then said he wanted to go out and see the job before he paid me i said i would meet him out there and he said he didnt want anyone out there when he goes out.I said thats fine i would wait to here from him then he said well if you did that big of a spot i will pay you 350.00 and said for me to take it or leave it. I then told him about what i had heard from the home owner he said that a salesman had come out and gave him or Robin a quote to install a new unit and they gave him a price then Robin turned in the order and Ray Setzer the owner told Robin that was not enough money to go back to the owner and get 1400.00 dollars more.

Robin had to break the news to the homeowner.The homeowner was in a bad spot needing the ac unit right then or waiting for another company to come in and maybe delaying the installation so he took it.Robin says Ray setzer does this to alot of his custmers and Robin has only been there for a couple months and he sees the way Ray setzer works as a rip off. I did go get my 350.00 dollar check thinking i may not get anything if i dont go get this check.

I want to make sure he dosent do this again to anyone else. People work hard for their money like me, and some people live off their social security, like the man i worked for he riped off. Please make sure he does not get away with this.
