I saw the ad for Avlimil on TV. They were offering a free 30 day sample, plus the price of shipping and handling. I called and was given the discription of the product and was asked did I understand I had to pay the S&H. I said yes and then she told me about the Managed Care Direct program and I told her that I just wanted the sample.

After getting all my information she asked again did i want the Managed Care Direct and I told her no not at this time, that I wanted to get the sample and see if it worked. I believe I asked her exactly what would be charged on the credit card. She told me $4.50. I also mentioned the TV ad had said no obligation.

I got the sample fairly quick on the 28th of October 2003 and I was less than 2 weeks into taking the 30 day daily dose, when my credit card was charged for a monthly shipment. They did not have authorization for this charge. Nor did I call back and ask to be signed up for the Managed Care Direct program.

The product did not do any of what it clamed to do for women. I took it for about 23 days and never noticed any evidence of Avlimil working or making any changes in my desire for sex.

You honestly expected INSTANT results???!!!
Avlimil clearly discloses that it can take up to 3 cycles worth of medication before you will see some results. This is NOT the miracle drug that you mistakenly took it as. You honestly expected to see results after only 3 weeks, before your 1st cycle of medication was even up? And you have the audacity to make false allegations about the effectiveness of this drug? Sorry, but it does not work that way. May I suggest that in the future, you read the information that comes with any medication BEFORE you begin taking it? Doing so is only logical, to understand how it works, the results you may have, and if it may cause interactions and/or death to your body.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

I did a little investigating, have solution

I responded to the ad from Avlimil. I paid my $4.50 for a 30 day supply. I asked the rep if I wanted to re-order after the 30 day supply, would I just call the same number and reorder? He said yes, I again made sure that my credit card would only be billed for the $4.50 and NO other charges would show up. I was told NO additional charges would appear.

Well well well, not 24 hours later I read more then a dozen complaints against this company for unauthorized charges on the Ripoff Report. I immediately called Warner and acted like I was checking on my order. I spoke with an AAron. I lied and told him that my sister ordered the product for the $4.50 and then received a charge for $109.50 3 weeks later. What he said was that their computers are SET UP to send "Continuity Shipments" which means without consumer permission and a little bait and switch going on, Warner sends automatic shipments every 21 days. When I asked 3or4 times concerning what the procedure was, not once was I told about a "Continuity Shipment" I had to have Aaron cancel my Continuity shipment and was assured no other charges would appear.

What everyone who has run into this problem needs to do is...

A) call and cancel all future shipments to solve the immediate problem. (unauthorized charges)
B) Call your bank immediately, let them know of the situation
C) I would suggest if you do want to still order, use a credit card not a debit/bank card. You have the right to dispute the cc charge without having actual cash being taken out of your bank account.
D) Call the Attorney Generals office to file a fraud claim against Warner/ Avlimil.
Please let me know how it goes, It worked for me.
