Hello, I'm writing to report AVON/ Allied. I use to be an AVON rep back home in Georgia and boy did I get screwed. I told the lady who signed me up that I was disable and didn't have a car, but she told me that was o.k. that she would help me. She helped me all right, she never took me out to get clients like she said, put me down because what sells I did get weren't big enough. " Hello!" What could I do without a car and no help?, and when she decided to return my phone calls she was very rude and heaven forbid her DM call you back. I started noticing that when I would place an order that AVON would send me 4 times the amount I ordered and then stuff I didn't ordered. When I called the rep that signed me up , the DM, and the 1-800 number ( which I found out was overseas, because I asked where they were when I called) all I got was static, plus no return calls. On one huge order the customer cancled the whole intire thing, when going through the order not only did I get stuff that I hadn't ordered, but I got 4x's as much like I said. I called AVON plus my so called rep and told them that I was keeping some of the ordered 2 shirts,2 eyeshadows, and 2 perfume sets because it close to my daughter's and roomate's birthday they said o.k. I asked if I could set up a payment plan, because I had other bills to pay with my disability check and was told by 3 different people it was o.k. to do so, but that was not true. The phone calls started and so did the nasty letters. AVON even kept sending me orders that I would stop UPS at the door and tell to send back.  The rep who signed me up said that AVON didn't care that I was oin disability and would get their money one way or another. ( The one time she decided to talk to me on her own. FAINT!) I called once again and asked how could an order that was barely 100 or so be almost 600 and that I had proof that they were excepting my payments and deducting them only to add more back onto the amount, I was told that I would pay and that I was lying. That nothing was sent back or any payment arrangement made. I was so glad to read that other people were having this problem also. AVON was using one agency that was very nice and when I told them that i was paying on my account and that I had proof at my bank because I had automatic bill pay through them, they quit calling after telling me that AVON never told them that. What happened? Did AVON switch to another company that would work illeagliy? ( Pardon the awful spelling) AVON is suppose to be a woman freindly company, but it's not. They make promises that they don't keep as well as strong arm you into joining. I will never work for them again, EVER! I paid them what I knew I owed them and not a penny more, they can kiss where I can't if they expect me to.

I'm so sorry!

I just want to say how sorry I am. I'm an Avon Independent Sales Rep and have been selling for almost ten years. Your situation is rare but I believe it does happen however the fault seems to be lying with the Avon Rep who signed you up. It seems she really made a lot of promises to you and did not follow through with those promises. There are people out there that are just looking to make a quick buck and unfortunately you were their victim.

Avon is an excellent company with great benefits. Selling Avon allows me to stay at home with my daughter and I couldn't be happier. I am signing people up to sell Avon also but I do it in a whole different way then what the lady did to you. Maybe that Avon Rep has a different side on what happened but she isn't here to defend herself. I did have a disabled woman who also signed up under me but every time I tried to call/email/text her she would never get back to me after the first contact we had. I cannot help someone if they refuse to work with me, you know? :)

Avon does have their customer service overseas, based in India (I think), but that's because they sell there too. I will admit, it is very hard to understand them at times, I have to keep reminding myself to be patient, haha. There are different branches. When you get to be in President's Club or start Leadership, you get another number to call and that is based in the US (I don't exactly know where, never thought to ask). The good thing about Avon is it is a worldwide company and they give everyone a chance at a changed life.

I am very sorry about what happened in your situation. If the Avon Rep did say that Avon will get their money one way or the other, that Avon Rep was wrong. I've signed women up that even after years of owing Avon, they still have not paid. I've also had women that Avon worked with to get them back into selling cause they needed to make money for their family.

I hope to be selling and in leadership with Avon for years to come because who doesn't want their own hours and be their own boss? I don't even have to make the products or materials, Avon does a great job for me! I even won an afternoon cruise on a ship in Philly from Avon that I'm taking in a couple weeks and I'm so excited!

I do not want to diss anyone or point fingers but it starts with who signs you up. Get to know that person, make sure that this person is looking out for your best interests. When I sign someone up, I want it to not only benefit me but I want her to succeed as well. When you succeed, so do I! It makes me feel so good knowing I helped get that person where they want to be, where they dream to be!

I hope you don't have hard feelings for Avon. They really are a great company and I know I've said this a few times but I'm VERY sorry for how you were treated. I honestly don't even go on this site but I was researching another company and deciding, just for kicks, to look up Avon. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact me! I love talking to others!
