The whole car buying experience there was horrible. They need to re assess the value of the customer vs how many cars they can sell. My wife and I had so many problems with both poor service and the lack of communication between departments that we had to do all of the follow ups concerning the preparedness of our vehicle we purchased there. We went with the intention of seeing what we would pre qualify for and the sales associate convinced us that we could leave that day in a new 2005 Stratus so we reluctantly went ahead, not withstanding the fact that I did apprise the sales associate that we were just interested in seeing what we qualified for due to the fact my wifes car had been stolen a couple of weeks prior and we were waiting for the adjuster to cut a payoff check.
I digress we left that evening with a signed agreement that this car was ours for the agreed amount that we negotiated for. The following day we received a call from Avondale Dodge informing us that we had to bring the car back we did so, the sales associate told us some flim flammery about the fact that they could not let us have the car for the agreed monthly payment. Next being irate at this time my wife and I were in the midst of leaving and a Sienor sales Exec. by said he'd fix the problem we told him the situation in length and he acted befuddled that the associate that sold us the car had not payed attention to the fact that we wanted the same model car my wife had previous to it's theft. We told the Exec. that the previous associate made the idea of a new purchase more appealing than a previously owned vehicle. The Exec. took us to the used lot we picked out a similar make and model to my wifes stolen car and we guaranteed the same deal from the Exec. to our previous contract with the Stratus. With my wife finally calmed down we headed home and she noticed the car pulled to the right on the freeway and that it idled roughly when we were stationary. the following day Avodale called us and asked us to come back because there was a problem with the contract, at this point we were discusted with the whole car buying experience at this particular dealership and were intent on returning the car. By this time we had met with a different associate every time, this associate informed us that the contract again wouldn't work the agreed monthly installments along with the low % rate a suitable financier could not be found.
I posed the question as to the contract my wife had signed and if it was to there benefit that it had an open ended clause for them and not the buyer, it went un-answered.In closing I the car still runs poorly after having Avondales service dept look at it it had been poorly detailed being dark by the time we receive the car a complete inspection of the clenlieness of the car was a difficult at best. We now are going to refer all our maint. to Lou Grubb Dodge they are attentive to our concerns and are personable. My recommendation to all potential buyers out there BEWARE OF AVONDALE DODGE THE CUSTOMER DOSE NOT COME 1ST THERE
