Axsys National Bank Fingerhut ripoff St Cloud Minnesota

I had been a loyal customer of Fingerhut for 5 or 6 years, paying all payments on time. I fell into financial stress and missed approximately 3 or more months. Axsys then said that I owed 400 to 500 hundred immediately. I tried to request continuing my normal monthly payment when I got financially situated and was refused.

I then thought maybe I could just send in $50 per month to try and get the balance down....it continued to grow until I just couldn't afford to pay $50.00 with the balance still growing. What made things really bad is their billing method changed with no notice. I agreed to pay it one way and was expected to pay it another without notification.

Is this legal? Now I have a security clearance pending this mess on my credit. I will do my best to spread the word on their business ethics, they suck. Can they place me on a credit report as unpaid and no contract or agreement ever signed stating I would accept terms of a new company?
