I moved from Los Angeles to Texas approximately 6 months ago. I went through National Moving who then contracted with AY Transport, Inc. They were 8 days late in picking up my items. They charged me much more than they initially quoted me. I asked for proof of the weighing process and nothing was shown to me.

I had to pay before they would remove anything from the truck. Once I paid and they unloaded it I realized that a $3,000 Armoire and my Queen bed were missing. After they left I found that two boxes were also missing.

These boxes had crystal and clothing in them. The total of all was approximately $8,000. They will not return my phone calls or answer my correspondence. They did offer to pay me $45.00 for the bed. I refused.

It's not like they can "misplace" a $3,000 armoire and a huge queen bed. Find the FBI office in Austin (or nearest you) and tell them the story.

Also, keep an eye on Ebay for your furniture, I hear that's where a lot os "misplaced" but expensive items end up. If you see them, contact the Ebay fraud dept.
