On 9/18/2016, I was solicited byway of a door tag being placed at my door with the detailed company being: B & A Power washing. I called the number and requested a free estimate on power washing my home. I was quoted over the phone $199.00 without anyone seeing or inspecting my home. The woman I spoke with was Allison Jones , who is the owners girlfriend, wife etc., she told me that someone would come out and inspect my home and that she would get back with me to set up a time and date to power wash my home and that no one had to be present for the estimate. Well, on 9/20/2016 upon me returning home, my house was power washed, damaged and a $199.00 bill left at my door. Now no one called or expressed concern with rotted wood or anything. I immediately called the number on the bill to make them aware of the damages and that I need to side bay box restored or repaired and that I couldn't see me paying one dime for the damages that was caused to my home. A day or two later, I received a call from a fast talking, combative guy claiming to be the owner. This guy told me that I was just trying to get my home repaired and that my wood was dry rotted etc., I told him that I didn't need him to repair nothing and furthermore, I had a contractor working on my basement and another contractor that was replacing my roof in a few days. So what reason did I have to attempt to blame him wrongfully. He not only threatened me verbally that he would sue me for voicing my opinion on social media as to the damages they did on my home and started yelling at me that he would file a mechanics lien against my home. Now this isn't fair. No consumers should have deal with this level of disrespect. I kept getting different billing amounts and lastly was sent to a collection agency for 314.00 and they said it would appear on my credit in 30 days, if I do not remit the full balance.

Attached is an email conversation between the disrespectful lady, Allison Jones, who hadn't seen nothing and requested that I send her pictures:

Email sent by me:

FYI: Being that all you want to do is shout at me and over talk me, texting appears to be a better choice of communication with you. You have solicited my home and neighborhood many times byway of us mail. Your company further damaged my home and I'm giving you the opportunity to restore it back to the condition you and your 3 workers found my home prior to doing any work or I'll have the damaged area's repaired and send you a bill. Furthermore, I am very displeased with your service that was rendered and it is my right to blog my displeasure etc regarding the work you company performed and for you to bully me verbally with suing me for voicing my opinion on your company and filing a complaint with the BBB bureau, the nerve of you. I see that you don't understand the old saying of putting out fires b4 they get started. Maybe one day you will understand that you are as good as your last customer/client. I will be contacting Angie's List this morning to see what if any ratings you may have. Additionally will be forwarding all communication to them as will as the BBB Maryland Chapter. What's additionally absurd, you had 3 guys to come to my home to inspect prior to power washing my home, did it occur to any of your workers that this job would be risky and that you need to get the homeowner to sign a release of waiver? I guess not, such idiots. My HOA representative and general contractor can attest to the fact that these holes and buckling wasn't present prior to your company performing the work.

This is absurd you are trying to get us to repair your home that has clearly been dry rotted and damaged for sometime now. This will be an open shut case in a court of law. Good day. Francis Hello, For your information, the general contractor that's working on my basement and replacing my roof is clearly the reason they were out today and furthermore 2 days ago. They are capable and well qualified to repair what your worker further damaged to my home. FYI: I have had my home power washed and have never had the siding to come apart. If your worker Andrew physically saw an existing issue, he should have requested that you declined to do my home. I made it very clear to your scheduler over the phone that my home is made from wood, siding and paint and that My home can't have the same type of high powered cleaning like a brick home. She pointed out that you all had experience and I didn't need to worry. Bottom line, either your company can repair the damage that your worker caused or you can pay to have it repaired. Let me know what you decide. R******* 703-225-**** >

B & A Power Washing Settled this claim promptly.

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Friday, April 14, 2017

It's truly sad how Rip off Report does people.   I requested that B & A Power washing be removed from the site due to the owner rectifying what happened and I'm now satisfied.  I think it was very commendable that when the owner found out what happened he cleared my bill and removed me from collections.   Being that this company has been in business well over 25 years with only two complaints- discrepancies is positive within itself.  Anyone needing their services should consider using them in the Bowie, MD / Washington Metro Area.
