It started out like other list sellers via an email from a Cathy Anderson. When she followed up with a phone call and a thick Indian accent, I should have been wary, but I don't judge.

I asked for a sample for a very specific list that nobody typically can provide - telecommunications in Asia - and Cathy was provided me a sample of 5 contacts that looked reasonable, and even checked out okay. She also promised a money back guarantee if we were unsatisfied with the list.

We paid to a Bank of America Account, and upon payment we received the list from a Scott Walker, who said that if we had any problems to let him know. Well...

Upon looking over the list, not a single company listed was what we had asked for. In fact, the 5 sample names weren't even included on the list. I informed both Cathy and Scott immediately that it was unsatisfactory and unusable and where previously Cathy would respond within minutes, they ceased to respond at all.

I called many different numbers an spoke with many different people, who said that they were 'working on it' but everyone I called would cease to answer the phone after I made contact.

Eventually Scott did reply and asked to give him 2 days and they would have it for me, but they did not deliver, and I again started emailing Cathy and Scott.

As Cathy and Scott did not reply, I called the number on their invoice and spoke to someone named 'Craig' at 302 365 0905. He was also of an Indian accent. He said that he would speak to his Data manager and get me an update. However, he also failed to call me back as promised and no updates. I found another number on the work order 302 251 8126, and spoke to an Andrew Strauss, again Indian accent, and would not let him go until he provided someone who was higher up. He provided me the number of Richard Matthews @ 302-883-8229 who was supposed to be VP of Sales.

Surprise surprise, another Indian accent with a western name. (I have pure love for all peoples, my point is this group are ALL using fake names).  He gave me a number of excuses that it was a holiday, and their data group wasn't there, but that he would have something for me again in a couple of days. I did not believe him, but felt there was not much I could do. Not surprisingly I still have not had any response.

I have explicitly asked for a refund, and have not seen as much as an email from any of these people, and am highly turned off the whole industry as this was my first time ever even considering a list.

B2BOptinlists.com is a total scam. It has been 3 weeks since my last email contact from them and they are clearly avoiding me as all phone calls are directed to their voice mails.

If anybody works for Bank of America, please freeze their accounts!
