I simply asked them to provide the names of the installers so I could get an idea of cost of installation. They said they could not do this until I purchased. Anytime a business is reluctant to provide useful information its a huge red flag.

Really that is the response, to attack my compaint! I called your sales line yesterday and asked if you had locals who install. I don't  want to  be running cat5 or coax myself all over the place and wanted someone professional to do. The salesman's response was we have three installers but can not give you their names till after you purchase! I could not believe the response! My purpose in posting this was, I had believed it must be a rogue salesman and not actually the companies position. However given your response it is obviuos you run a business were you would rather not shine any light on the details. From your response it is also obvious you or your sales team are lying in that he said you had 3 local installers! You however in your response indicated its all self install. So who's lying? Your salesman tyring to entice me to purchase under the pretense I would then be hooked up with installers names or you? Either way, not good!

I was prepared to purchase but with your attidude instead you have lost a sale and hopefully I'm not the only one.

 

p.s. If your were truly an ethical business owner who would have simply explained your position and why instead of attacking me and my integrity.

So you haved succeed in showing you or your saleman are liers and you have no integrity!

First of all the person who file complaint this was never a customer. They never bought anything! Second this simple  fact must have escaped them. "WE SELL DO IT YOURSELF KITS" Not installed. There are many people who will be glad to have us spend hours finding a good installer in their area and then purchase from others and use the installers we found to get it installed. SO YES WE DO REQUIRE A PERSON TO PURCHASE A SYSTEM BEFORE WE DEDICATE HOURS OF WORK TO FIND A QUALIFIED INSTALLER. This complaint is suspicious at best.

Also consider this. Allowing such a petty review to be posted online shows the lack of integrity of ripoffreport. As soon as this was filed we were contact by a representative of ripoffreport who, FOR A PRICE, offered to help. Clearly the person who posted this complaint and ripoffreport themselves are seriously lacking when ethics are considered.

Backstreet Surveillance is an honorable company who follows written ethics which posted on our website. We clearly state our policies and have tens of thousands of customers who will testify to our high morals and ethics.

The person who posted this and ripoffreport both should recalibrate their moral compass.
