I cannot begin to tell you how disgusted I am with this company! My student loan is through Higher One and I called them one time to inform them that my bank merged with another one and my routing number had changed...That's IT. However, the incompetant girl that I spoke with, accidentally cancelled my card, which means I have to wait for another one...oh, but they are not going to charge me (as if I am supposed to be grateful, when it was their fault)...I do understand that mistakes happen however, EVER SINCE that, they have sent me REPEATED emails trying to verify my address, which again, I can deal with and tried to respond back to ...the first few times, but they KEEP COMING!!! I have called the company and get a new person every time who apologizes, tells me they will make the emails stop, and guess what....THEY DON'T!!!!! This is HARASSMENT!!! The when you call, you have to get through all of the prompts only to be on hold, that's 15 minutes of my ife I won't get back, then the same thing happens! MORONS! There is just no other way to describe it!

I'm Lauren from Higher One. We're very sorry you've had a difficult experience, and I would like to point out a couple of important points.
First, Higher One does not provide any instruments of credit - including student loans. Our Refund Management service offloads the disbursement of financial aid refunds for colleges and universities. That is, Higher One gives students the option of how they want to receive their financial aid refund money and disburses the funds.
Also, we apologize for any excessiveness with respect to verifying your mailing address. This is simply an added measure of security as Higher One takes the privacy and safety of the students we serve very seriously.
