Bally Total Fitness Statue of limitations for collection agencies especially BALLY TOTAL FITNESS PEOPLE PLEASE READ Federal Way Washington

Everyone who has been ripped off by Bally Total fitness and is being harassed READ THIS!!

I have never been a customer or employee of BTF (thank god), but I have information you will want to hear.
I work for an outsorce doing hospital billing. I know a lot of information on collections.

All of this depednig on the state yo live in (make sure you find out):

1: If you ask them to stop calling you at work and they don't you can file harassment charges or bring them to court.

2. They only can call so many times a WEEK at your place of residence!!!! In washington state it is 33! if you are getting calls more often that you should be in your state, this is harassment and charges can be filed!!!

3. The collection agency can sell you info. to another Collection agency, If you find out the phone number and they are calling DO NOT PICK UP THE PHONE!!! There is a statue of limitation (again depending on where you live) and everytime you pick up that phone IT STARTS OVER!!!

If you know the number don't pick up the phone! Any time you have contact with the collection agency this will happen. They only have so long to call you before it can be written off and you are no longer liable. In washington they have 7 years. The states due very again, find out yours. After this period of time they can not sue you for what you owe! If you are getting calls almost 5-8 years later this is probably why. They only have a little while longer to get their money. DON'T PICK UP THE PHONE!!!. They may bring you to court within this time.... This will give you time and what you want which is to show what kind of practices they have.

Everyone with a problem with collection agencies of BTF...find out this information in your own state. Garentee they are violating at LEAST 1 of the many laws on this...
