Bank Of America distributed miscellaneous funds in my account. Furthermore because of there incompetency, I am on the black list. Moreover, I am not able to open an account with another bank.

Some states have laws where the recipient of a bank error get to keep the money, some don't. It depends what state you're in.

Senay, Most HONEST and GOD fearing people would have noticed if all of a sudden there was more money in their account and would have questioned it. As to your example that you gave. If we had a business relationship together, which you and BOA have, and you gave me money for no reason and a week later came back and said that you gave me that money by mistake, which IS what BOA is doing, I wouldn't be happy about it, BUT I WOULD GIVE THE MONEY BACK TO YOU. And who does your "YOU PEOPLE" remark refer to? One last thing, DID'NT is NOT a word. But DIDN'T is. Please respond to "YOU PEOPLE', if you dare.

Get a Clue

AUTHOR: Senay - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 04, 2006

Huh, I did'nt think it was odd that there was money in my account, since there is always money there. I dont know about "you people", but I did'nt get excited about extra money being in my account. There is always money being distributed in accounts I have all over Wall Street.

All I'm saying, is that I should'nt have to deal with incompetent people like you, who make mistakes with there account information. Bye!

CAN'T YOU DO BETTER THAN THAT, SENJAY?

AUTHOR: Sherri - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 04, 2006

I also have Direct Deposit, as does my husband. I know what our take-home is, and if I see more money in the account than I should have, I would go, "hmmmmmm" and at the very least look it up online. You do know that online transactions will say "Direct Deposit." If I saw a deposit that didn't look familiar, I would call the bank.

Reality is that you thought you had come into a little windfall, not realizing that the customer that the deposit belonged to would miss it and contact the bank. The bank found their error, subtracted it from your balance and now you are in Chexsystems. YOUR error was in spending money that didn't belong to you, and if you don't see that, well, sounds like your moral compass is pointing in the wrong direction.

Direct Deposit

AUTHOR: Senay - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 04, 2006

The reason why I did'nt say anything about the funds being in my account, was because at the time, I had direct deposit, with the company I was working for,so it did'nt strike me as odd when I realize the funds, in my account......the bottom line is, I did'nt make the mistake...they did.....why should I pay for other people's mishaps?

WHAT DO I THINK?

AUTHOR: Sherri - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 04, 2006

I think that an HONEST person would have contacted the bank and said, "there are funds in my account that I do not believe are mine. Could you please check on this and make sure they go to the correct account?" Of course, a DISHONEST person would take off with it, use the funds and then cry about their being consequences....just like you are crying about it now.

I don't care for BOA, but seems as if they should be filing a "Rip-Off Report" on you, instead.

Now I Get It

POSTED: Tuesday, April 04, 2006

I guess they put money into your account by mistake. Maybe another customer put a wrong account number on a deposit slip. Who knows. You spent the money. Now the dumb bank wants their money back. What were they thinking? These banks.

Hop on the clue bus Senay

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 04, 2006

If the bank deposited money in your account, that was NOT yours, then took it back, what is the problem?

Did you really think you could keep money that wasn't yours?

Of course you did. That Government School you went to did their job.

BofA distributed miscellaneous funds??? Did you authorize the transactions? If not, call the claims department and file a claim. If you did authorize the transactions, then why would this be the bank's fault? It sounds like you've been reported to Chexsystems which means you must have had an overdrawn balance for several months. Of course other banks will be reluctant to open an account for your since you stiffed another bank and you could do the same to them. What were these so-called miscellaneous funds?
