Bank Of The West Exorbitant Bank Fees Petaluma California

I was a client with this bank for over 15 years. I was unaware that when I requested over draft protection that I could only do that 6 times in a month - that included online transfer from savings to checking, phone transfer from savings to checking and bank automatic transfer to checking. I was ill and used my debit card when there was not money in the checking accoutnbut tht I had 10,000.00 in my savings account, and the bank charged me for every ATM transaction - $35.oo for each ATm transaction - in July 2009 they charged me $800.00. Everyone was an atm transaction - some for 2.00! My account became overdrawn and when the new month started they went into my savings and cleared the overddraft by taking it from my savings. When I asked them why they had not told me there was insufficient funds to stop me from taking money from my checking account - they said they did it so I would not be embarrased. They would rather charge me $35.00 for each transaction than have me embarassed. They were "rewarding me for being a good client".
