It was on 5/26/2008 when I received a phone call from Bankcard Empire Representative named Patrick, who offered me a business opportunity. The business opportunity was suppose to be a merchant service agent for their company.

To what I understand, I was suppose to approach small businesses that use credit card to use Bankcard empire service and as well encourage any new business entity that is not currently using or accepting credit card to take on the opportunity. I was informed that Bankcard Empire would provide the lead and all the materials needed to do the business, as well as provide me with a website which also would allow me to advertise via the web. I was also informed that there would be no other fee involved in the business other than the initial cost of the $500, which I agreed to, base on that promise.

I was also promised that there would be an assigned mentor that would walk me through the steps and get me going till I am comfortable in the business.

Few days later, I received a call from Bankcard Empire mentor. The person that called me wanted to know how much I have to invest in the business and that was where the problem had started. The mentor informed me that if I want to start making return quickly, I would need to invest additional money. Her statement totally contradicted the sale representative statement and their promise to me.

Upon receiving the package in June, this was only one CD, which contains Microsoft word documents of forms and pdf files. I sent the package back to Bankcard Empire and requested for a refund.

I then called my credit card company Bank of America whom I sent my complaint letter along with a dispute form in the back of my statement as directed. The amount was removed from my account, with the expectation that the dispute has been resolved. Bank of America also canceled my card and issued me a different card.

I later discovered that the Bank had reapplied the amount to statement and that was when I called the bank again to inquire. The bank now told me that they had sent me a form in the mail which they did not received a response. First I did not receive any form from the bank. Now they are claiming that the dispute has passed 120 days, therefore, they were not able to get a charge back on my account.

Whenever Bankcard Empire Called me, they wanted to point to me that i agreed that the money is non refundable until i have proof that the business is not working for me. I wonder what i have to proof when i am not in possession of their product.

My State Attorney General has contacted Bankcard Empire and they still have not responded to the Attorney General's office as of this date.
