Just a few months ago (less than 6) my room mates and I took our merchandise to Barbara's resale shop in Conroe. She stated that it would take a few days to get the merchandise checked in to their store. About one week later I was told that they had not gone through our things yet and that it would take another week. Several weeks later we finally had a consignment account with $10 in it. I walked around the store and noticed most of our things were NOT in the store. I asked what happened to most of our belongings and she stated that they had sold. We are talking shirts, shoes, dress shoes, luggage, mens watches, ties, SUITS for crying out loud!!! and all we had was $10. 

The other day we walked into the store and some blonde lady informed us that we only had 10 CENTS in our account and that all of our credit expires after 60 days. It had been less than 2 months since we had the $10!!!!!

Barbara has yet to call us back and still can not answer our questions such as:

WHERE did our credit really go?

WHY are you selling our stuff for 10 cents? What could you have POSSIBLY sold for 10 cents? 

DID someone else use our account my accident or mistake?

What happened to the REST of our items such as:

foot massagers, luggage, laptop bag, walletts, suits, ties, and everything else that we brought in?

You are a crook, we brought in 3 bags, 1 bag had NEW shirts in there that were not our size so we thought we could make a few dollars out of this. We had 2  carry on luggage and they were not in the store any of the times we were in there looking at your merchandise. Oh and HOW DARE YOU play christian music in your store when you act like this!?

We did not cause a "scene" but if you want us to we can.

She stated that we only had a 10 cent credit and NEVER TOLD US ABOUT ANY PURCHASES that were made on the account. She simply said after 60 days it expired. 

From what I read this is not the only complaint against your location. By the way.. NEITHER ONE OF US made any purchases at your store. Someone else may have but WE DID NOT.

In defense to Barbara's Resale Shop I am about to enlighten you as to what REALLY happened with your items, money and your account with real dates and the explanation of the contract YOU read and signed.

First of all, the contract you read and signed was for 60 days from the day we entered the items in your account.  The exact date items were entered was 3/30/12. 

The contract clearly explains that the consigner (you) are responsible for any activity on your account for those 60 days.  If there are any moneys in your account after the 60 days, the money is there for your convenience for as long as it takes you to pick it up..meaning the money never disappears until you use it as store credit or pick it up

On 9/17/12 you came in alone to make a purchase.  Your purchase total was $23.27.  Your account had 23.37.  You decided to do store credit for the amount of $23.27 which left you with $.10 in your account. On that day you not once asked anyone here about any activity on your account

Last week (7/2/13)when you and your "roomate" walked in here asking for your items and for your money, my employee did explain to you both that some of your items were sold and the rest were expired on 6/30/12. She tried to explain the balance on your account  as to why it was $.10 but you were too upset and too busy yelling, making threatening comments and causing a scene for NO REASON!


As far as I'm concerned, I believe I have explained and gave you PROOF of dates, my policy in details and the situation to you as to what REALLY transpired. 

At this point, I owe you no other explanation.
