While i am sure this is not the case with every single trainer, but if you're unfortunate enough to live in Bucks county, the local trainer you're referred to is Pete Marciano, and you're out of $650 with nothing but aggravation to show for it. The first session lasted over 4 hours. Now you might think this is a good thing, but it was an exhausting, besides the point bitchfest, in which he proceeded to badmouth other trainers and praise himself, relayed a lot of training anecdotes, and FINALLY, about half hour before he left, did some basic commands training with treats. We where so mentally exhausted by the time it was over, we all had to take a nap (we have three small dogs, and hired him to do training for two of them).

At that point I was still trying to put a good face on it, not wanting to admit that I ridiculously wasted all that money on garbage. So we did the follow up training in between visits, and hoped the second training session would include some actual TRAINING. Well, no. The second AND third visits where chat sessions conducted on the couch, where he asked us questions, regaled us with more of his training videos and more or less told us how great he was, and THAT WAS THAT.

We where in the process of moving right around that time, so he said lets do the last appointment at the new place, blah blah. He sent me a text a few weeks after moving asking how they where adjusting, I said they seemed to be fine, and again, that's all she wrote. So I finally emailed him asking for a refund for the last session. Instead of trying to rectify the situation or provide a refund, he rambled on about how his main goal is the satisfaction of his clients. Funny, cause I was a client and I was anything but satisfied, but I guess as long as he gives lip service it should all be all right. Needless to say, I am pursuing legal action against him.

I am truly sorry that you feel that my advice, both verbal and in hand written note form, was not helpful. I am a reasonable person trying to help folks solve their dog problems. If I miss my mark, and I sometimes do, I am more than willing to rectify the situation. I'm not perfect. I have given refunds in a timely manner and amicably. You didn't allow me. You blindsided me with a attacks on all fronts, including here on Ripoff Report. I don't believe it required personal bashing and a civil lawsuit. Thank you, though, for bringing to my attention a few things I may learn from - that generally comparing training methodologies and approaches may be considered bashing other trainers, showing video examples of what we were discussing could be considered s****.>
