Barrow County Child Support Enforcement THE CHILD SUPPORT SYSTEM IS THE BIGGEST RIP OFF IN AMERICA! Winder Georgia

I was looking into the financial company Primerica Finanical when I ran across your site. I think this is a very good site and should be awarded.

I thought I would check the rest of your site out when I ranned across your "DEAD-BEAT DADS" articles.

I must say that I am so upset about people judging others when they only get half the story. So I'm going to open your readers eyes to the truth about their "CHILD SUPPORT LAWS".

I am consider a "dead-beat" dad. Why? Because I (according to the courts) owe over $35,000.00 in child support. I guess this makes me another person who yall would like to see locked up?
Now here's the true story.

I married a lady name Ivia Carter in Winder, Ga. Before we was married we had broken up and I had went on with my life. But she kept coming back telling me how much she loved me and how much she wished that we had a child together.

So being the fool that I was at the time I took her back and she did get pregnant. Ivia gave birth to twins. Once again we broke up, and though I wasn't making a lot of money I was constantly a part of my children lives.

I listen to them on the phone and saw them whenever I could. I eventually moved to Winder with Ivia. Ivia and I had constant problems. She kept telling me that her greatest fear was that I would leave her for good.

So to show my desire to make this work, I married her. This didn't solve any of our problems. So I felt that I could do no more, and told her I was leaving.

Ivia threw my kids in my face talking about I was walking out on them. Which was not the case. I was leaving her, and not my kids. I tried to set up some sort of payment before I left. She responded if you leave we don't need your or your money. So after I left and a little time had past we decided that I would pay her $100.00 a week, AFTER I GOT MYSELF SETTLE (somewhere to live and etc.)

I spoke to Ivia each and every week, not just to just up on my kids welfare, but to let her know what was going on in my life, financially.

This woman (for a lack of a better word), went behind my back and filed for a uncontested divorce. Told the judge that she didn't know my whereabouts and to the best of her knowledge I was driving big rigs.

Based on this information she was granted a divorce and $800.00 a month in child support. Of course I received all this information after all this was said and done.

I immediately call Ivia and asked what this was all about. She got her "Legal-Aide" lawyer on the phone, who told me that the amount of child support was just numbers they needed to finalize the divorce.

I explained to the lawyer that I was no longer living in Winder, nor did I have a way to get to Winder. He then told me not to worry about it. That he would have the papers sent to Atlanta where I could get it all corrected.

Now after months of waiting I received a supena (sp?) from the Barrow County court. I called and explain what had been told to me and they politely informed me that I would have to come to Barrow County to get the order adjusted. So I go to Barrow County thinking that this is going to be worked out. But the CSE reps jumps right down my throat.

Why haven't you been paying this child support order!?" I explained to her that first of all IVIA LIED ABOUT KNOWING MY WHEREABOUTS, and that I was not nor had I ever been a cdl-truck driver. She told me only a judge could change the child support order. I said fine where's the judge? I would go back and forth to Winder several times before I sat in front of a judge (not THE JUDGE THAT GRANTED THE ORDER). The judge took one look at my case, asked me how much money I made and dismissed himself from the case(all in the span of 5mins).

Even when I pleaded with him to just set a reasonable amount for me to pay he wouldn't touch the case. He told me he didn't understand how the other judge came up with these figures and that I was being ordered to pay the maximum amount that was possible in my case. He warned me not to return without a lawyer.

Now by this time I knew I needed a lawyer so I had to try to raise some money. I moved out of the hotel where I was living in paying $175.00 a week into the first apartment that would take me.

I was able to get a truck with no money down too. I decided that the $7.50 I was making at Hertz wasn't enough so I took on a courier job working for myself. And started delivering papers also. So in need of money I tried to go to work during a ice storm and total my truck, which means I lost both jobs and my apartment.

I finally got in front of the original judge who after listening to the CSE rep decided to hold me in contempt of court. And had me arrested. After I had told him that Ivia could indeed had gotten in touch with me and anytime. And proved to him that I at no time was making $500-$600 a week. I was hand-cuffed and sat down with others headed to jail.

At the end of the day the judge (same man who originally granted this order) told me he was reconsidering my case. He released me and set up a date for me and Ivia to be present. He told me I could pay $100 a week until this thing was settle.

When I called the CSE rep to arrange payment I was told that the judge was out of order in reducing the child support. And that I was still required to pay the $200.00 a week.
Naturally I'm not going back to court without a lawyer so now my license have been suspended and there's a bench warrant out for me.

Is this justice? I'll let you decide that for yourself.
Do I love and miss my children? Each and everyday.
But I refuse to sit here and be destroyed by a vendictive woman.

I have been looking into the child support system for a while now. And I have found that all a woman needs is a name and social security number to file for child support. NO OTHER PROOF! But a man or as you like to slang around "dead-beat" dad word isn't worth crap.

I'm being told that the only way to get this completely cleared up is for me to pay a $1500 mouth-piece to stand up and say the same thing I've said each and every time I been to court.

Why must I spend $1500 on a lawyer each and every penny should be going to my kids if I had that kind of money.

But your child support systems is so bias, so one-sided that no man stands a chance.

So before you go and call someone a Dead-beat, KNOW THE FACTS!!!!
Know that a woman can file child support against a man, and that man will be forced to pay it. And at the same time the court does not see that man as having any parental rights without a test proving he's the father.

But my back has been pushed against the wall. And I am a man. And a FATHER, the loves his children greatly. So now I must fight so I will. Not just against Ivia or Barrow County Child Support Enforcement. But against these laws that strips a man of any way of defending himself.

I believe in EQUAL RIGHTS for all people.
I believe that no woman should be able to use her children as a way to get back at a man that she wasn't LADY enough to keep.

I know I'm going to fight this until it's changed or I'm dead.

And regardless of what lies are told to my kids, the evidence will show that I stood for what was right. And fought for not only justice but for them.
