We were sold a car (Green 1996 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight) that ran ok on the lot but once it was driven home we started having problems with it. We called the car lot the next morning and Charlie told us that there wasn't anything wrong with the car. The car had a 1 month or 500 mile limited...very limited...warranty. We felt, right away, that we had dealt with bad people. We continued to have serious problems with the car and continued to contact Charlie (one of the "salesmen"). He was rude and disrespectful, telling us that there was NOTHING wrong with the car. We finally contacted the owner of the car lot, Henson Harless. We told him about the serious problems the car was having and he went on to tell us that he owned the car and what he says goes, not what Charlie says. He then told us to have the car worked on and whatever we had to pay he would subtract that from our account balance. We started having some work done to the car. No one could tell what was making it do what it was doing. So it had to be put through some troubleshooting. The most obvious things were fixed first...it needed a fuel pump. So that was put on. Two front wheel bearings were also put in. We hoped that the fuel pump was most of the problem but it wasn't. I was 70 miles from my home with my children and the car broke down. Mr. Harless was contacted and he said that he would pick up the car from where it broke down the next morning. He told us that he would either have it fixed or we could get another car from the lot (oh great!). We had no choice because we needed a car and fast. We went to the lot the next day. Upon arriving, there was another couple there purchasing the Oldsmobile! We couldn't believe they were selling this same car to another family WITHOUT HAVING IT FIXED! WE told the couple all about the car and what kind of problems we were having with it and what all that we had repaired already.

We gave the first receipt to Mr. Harless. It was for the new fuel pump we had installed on the Oldsmobile. He handed it to the new owners! Mr. Harless had already told us to give him all of the receipts so he could take that off our account balance. So, setting there, he sold the Oldsmobile...and we went on to purchase another car from him. We chose a white 96 Chrysler Cirrus LX. The paper work was done and he continued to tell us to send him the receipts from the work we had done on the other car (which totaled over $500 plus the down payment of $400) and that he would subtract that from our new account (the Chrysler). Now, after taking in a payment and receipts Charlie told us we couldn't do that. Once again, he was rude and disrespectful. We have lost nearly $1000 dollars.

When getting our tags for our car we had to take the money to them and they would go to the DMV and take care of that for us (since they still had the title). Mr. Harless went to the DMV and got our tags...but they were for the Green Oldsmobile. We had to pay $195 for taxes and tags for the car we no longer had. He told us that all we had to do is go to the DMV and have the tags transferred to the car we now have, the Chrysler. So we go to the DMV and guess what?!?!? We have to pay taxes on the Chrysler TOO...another $165 dollars! Tell me what's fair about that?!??! We also find out that the VIN number that was on all of our paperwork from the Chrylser is not even the VIN for the Chrysler! It's for a Dodge Caravan!

I am making one last attempt to let Barry's Used Cars, Henson Harless, Charlie Woodall..and whomever else that may be involved, make things right or I'm taking legal action. No one should have to be taken advantage of by low-life scum such as Barry's Used Cars in West Hamlin, WV!!! We deserve better than that and I will get better than that! I don't know who they think they're dealing with but they've screwed over the wrong people!

Well, to make things even worse, the White 96 Chrysler started falling apart. Parts were falling off from underneath the engine. We took it to the shop to have it repaired ($300). Two days after we got it back from the shop the engine blew up!! Had to walk 3 1/2 miles on the interstate!!!! I'm done with their pieces of sh**! They can stick this car sooooooooo far up their a**es!!!! It's going to feel so good to be able to tell them that!
