Bath Master Within 9 months of re-glazing my tub there were problems. After chasing this guy (franchisee, Jake) for nearly 3 years, he went out of business and now the head BathMaster (franchisor) will not honour the 5year warranty that is about to run out in August of 2013. The glazing cracked and bubbled and has now peeled away leaving a tub that can't be used. Another franchisee from London, Ont. says he'll fix it but to the tune of a further $440 plus tax. This is absolutely one of the worst companies that I have ever had to work with. I am not able to come up with 5-600$ to repair the mess left by BathMaster. I am recently unemployed and may have to sell my home with a crappy bathtub...now lowering the value of my home. To say the least, I am fed up with these guys and do not advise anyone to ever do business with them. Crooked as the day is long. Woodstock Ontario

 BathMaster is refusing to honour the work done by one of their franchisee's now that he has left the company and left those of us who had 5 year warranties without any way of getting our tubs fixed as BathMaster head office (spokesperson-John Clifford) is refusing to repair the mess.  From 9 months on after the tub was re-glazed there were problems and I had difficulty getting anyone to come and repair  the problem.  After 3 years of having the surface crack, bubble and peel, Mr. Jake who did the work never returned my calls.  I have kept a record of all the attempts that I made to get him here.  The last call I made, the line was no longer in service.  It took another year to track Jake down and after finding him and his receptionist (Ann), I was told that he wasn't able or wouldn't help me and to call another franchisee.

 After contacting another (Jeff Monk- London BathMaster) I was given the number of head office to call, whereby Mr. Clifford said that if I would give him 2 weeks, he would  find someone to come out and fix the tub.  However, after 5 weeks and no response, I re-contacted Mr. Clifford, who now says that BathMaster won't fix the franchisee's work or honour the warranty as it was based only on the paid receipt only(which I have along with the original flyer that I used to call...it says ...all work is guaranteed.) The warranty according to Jake is still in affect til August of 2013. 

The tub is not usable and London BathMaster says that he will require a further $450 to $500 to strip the other guy's work and re-do the tub.  I don't have this kind of money to repair what is clearly a lousy product put on by lousy contractor with an even lousier company.  Liars and crooks would be to kind to call these guys who don't stand behind their deceptive ads and their crappy work.

Other companys who do the same process are giving me quotes in $600 to fix the proble.. As I was recently laid off and may have to sell my home (as a mature individual...it has been very difficult to find another job).  I feel that the tub problem is jeopardizing my chances of selling and also lowering the value of my home.

Ticked off to say the least and nowhere to turn.
