I ordered a replacement battery for my non-unibody Macbook Pro. My new battery from BatteryNerds lasted less than five days before my computer's battery status showed that the recently fully charged battery had no charge, and said categorized the overall status as 'Service Battery,' which, in terms of OS X, at least, means that the battery is malfunctioning.


Flukes happen, so I gave them a second chance. BatteryNerds responded to my email with a return-authorization so I could send it back and get a new one free of charge (though I still had to pay shipping). A nice three weeks later, I got my second replacement. The second replacement lasted no more than about a month, when my computer shut off without even a low battery warning. This second replacemet showed the 'Service Battery' status intermittently, which, while not as severe as the problem with the first one, rendered the second battery unreliable. 


The saving grace was the expedient customer service. After a refreshingly brief conversation with an online customer service representative, the company agreed to analyze the battery for a refund. This time, they paid for the shipping, and I received my refund a couple weeks later. 


Customer service aside, their batteries do not seem reliable. Spendy though it may be, get your replacement batteries from your computer manufacturer.
