Bauer Investigations Grant Bauer Rip Off Will not pay invoices Albuquerque, New Mexico

I wish I would have checked on Bauer Investigatons/Grant Bauer before accepting the case.  Grant Bauer contacted my company and needed a rush investigation conducted over the three day Memorial Day weekend.  We were told that this would be a week long investigation.  After three days, he abruptly ended the investigation stating his client changed their mind.

I have been trying to get paid since.  Grant Bauer has used numerous excuses as to why they haven't paid the invoice.  After the second late notice, he said they never received the first one.  Later I was told that their accounts payable person left and took the invoices with her.  After emailing AND faxing them another invoice, I was again told they didn't have an invoice.  This went on and on.  We will pay next week-etc.  The latest blatent lie was that the check has been sent. 

I will be suing in small claims court to attempt to recover my loss.  I too intend to contact the Better Business Bureau and whoever I can about this organization.  

To anyone remotely thinking about working for Bauer Investigations- Get paid up front and make sure the payment clears the bank before you accrue any expenses.  Better yet, avoid this rip off artist altogether.
