Quality of Job

After a first wash you see swirl marks if the car has not been washed correctly. When paying for a respray no matter what budget it is, the company should buff out any imperfections of the paint to ensure it meets the standard for a respray. Now with a quick check on your website it states that you perform car detailing. If a detailer can get swirl marks on a fresh paint job then I personally would stay away.

i did some reserch for respraying my car and found bayside auto styling where quite cheap... i called them to discuss and was told to come and have a look at our cars we have sprayed.. anyway i went there soon after and no body was there... strange i thought why would they tell me to go there and no body be there... i called them no answer.... later on that day sent them a message and they replied went home for a drink... weird i thought... anyway stupid me trusted them so i gave them $100 deposit to book me in for a re spray... im not sure why they quote prices without having a look at the car.. to me that does not make sense you do not quote without looking at the job... anyway the day came and the postponed it... i started to think to myself these people are clueless and have no idea how to run a business so i kindly asked them for my deposit back... they refused to give me my deposit back.. anyway my advise to anyone looking to get any work done by bayside auto styling in mentone keep away.. do not deal with... you pay for what you get stay clear from them they will go down soon...

Value for money

When it comes to respraying a car the sky is the limit.
Aftermarket resprays often vary in price from as low as $1000 to well over $10,000.
The $1000 respray may be for an older car that is faded and needs a quick job to significantly improve the overall appearance of the car. This cheap style respray should not be considered as a bad job. If anything it is excellent value for money as it makes the biggest noticeable improvement for the least amount of money. A cheap respray can often increase the value of the car for more than the cost of the respray itself.
A respray for over $10,000 would generally be for a show car that requires a flawless finish so that it can win trophies when on display. Spending a significant amount of money usually results in poor value for money as most people can easily live with minor imperfections for a massive dollar savings. When I say minor imperfections I am talking about imperfections that require extremely close inspection of the paint. A usually technique is to look at the reflection and move your head back and forth to see any inconsistencies. All cars have imperfections in the paint even brand new cars from the factory. Quite often after a car is washed it may already has fine circular scratches called swirl marks appearing.
The quality of finish generally improves the more money you spend. In the end the customer must decide on the level of paint finish that they will be satisfied with. If the customer has a set budget then the level of paint finish will reflect that budget. You can run into a problem when the customer expects a level of paint finish that is beyond their budget.
When it comes to removing dents or hail damage the only proper way is to replace the entire panel. However the dent can be removed if enough time is spent. A quick and cheap repair may remove 95% of the dent this is a good value for money option and can satisfy and be unnoticeable to most customers.
At Bayside Auto Styling we provide exceptional value for money. We can produce varying levels of finish depending on the customers budget. At any given budget you will get a higher quality finish with us. With the above customer we discussed in length the quality of the final result and the customer agreed and was happy with the fact there would no doubt be minor imperfections for the very low price.
The customer paid $3000 for the following:
Significant hail damage to be removed on the roof, bootlid and side of the car.
A large fibreglass bodykit to be fitted. This includes adding grill mesh.
A fibreglass bonnet to be fitted (fibreglass requires more prep work)
Respray the whole exterior of the car in black 2pk pearl paint clear over base.
Now in Australia that is a very low price. The customer had been quoted by multiple other shops more than double that price. The end result is truly sensational looking car. Being black it has a mirror finish so it will show up any minor imperfections. The amount of imperfections remaining is extremely low. No shop in Melbourne could have produced a better quality paint finish for that price.
Upon completing the job the customer made demands that most would deem unreasonable. We acted professionally in refusing to fulfil these unreasonable demands by explaining how every step of the job had been completely to the level that we had previously discussed. In summary the customer who filed this report wanted a respray the same quality of a $6000 job for the price of only $3000.
