John Casablancas DO NOT GO! BE CAREFUL!! Orange California

John Casablancas is just like many of the things I have been to. Josh, the "manager" makes you feel as if he is telling the truth, but obviously, he is NOT!!!!
My family went in with open minds knowing that this was most likely a scam but it could be a company that wants to help. We won a free "photoshoot" (turned out to be a quick 5 min(for two people) photo thing.

Kinda like a school picture.No posing or anything)I have done photoshoots before and I was alowed to pose any way I felt comftorable and thought would turn out amazing. Anyways, we did not expect to sit through a two hour presentation on what to do in this buisness. Nor did we know we were going to have to aududition.

My sister(s) and I are in the buisness already. Although background plays an important part in the industry, I would not like to do it for the rest of my life. There is nothing wrong with it however, it is not for me.I want to be a lead part! In this company, they were saying how a couple people went on background jobs and got upgraded for a month-twice.

I know many people who do this and none of them have been bumped to a speaking role for a 5 week job that gets them a sag card.It just doesn't happen.They would most likely cast that role through a casting call.

Anways,as I have said, my sister and I are in the biz.We have an agent and have been on auditions for shows like iCarly and commercials and movies. When they asked if we were seeking representation, we said yes because we are seeking new representation. They smiled.Then they called my mom for the "call back" and she told them that we have an agent and the quickly reconsidered us.

Mabe its because we have talent-unlike a few of the people there.When we were in the room before we left, they called up a few people who "forgot information" on their sign-up sheet and I heard one of the girls parents say 'no we didn't'.I am guessing this is for the people they wanted to work with immediately. May I add that many of them didn't know how to slate, what their mark was and where to look when doing a commercial. I didn't even say "WOW.They cold become amazing"

I am wondering if they know we are on to them.Hesitantly, they made an appointment with us after asking if we had friends who wanted to be in the biz.(do you think Bobby Ball(a famous agent) goes around asking clients if they have friends who want this.Probably not because they may not have talent and won't bring in money so why would he waste his time if they don't even know what they're doing!?!?!?)As Josh stated many times,'Its all about the money'

Josh said they are not an agent yet he said they get calls to send people out.So is he a manager?What is he if he sends people out but he's not an agent or representitive?

We schedualed a call back even though they sat there and said how terrible we were and we weren't agent ready(even though we have an agent and have been asked to be represented by some).We came home a few hours early from Vacation, went to the store to get appropriate clothes for the audition.Then the lady told us we weren't audition ready because we didn't know how to do the runways.I DON'T WANNA BE A RUNWAY MODEL!!!

I have not studied to be a runway model so ofcourse I don't know how to do it. Yet, they never mentioned anything about our commercials that people told me were amazing.Maybe its because they were good and we didn't train with them so they didn't want us because we had knowledge.

I have read many places that they may have seen someone in a mall and all of a sudden, its they're client and they discovered them and made them who they are.I watch a lot of tv and movies and to be honest,I NEVER recongnized one person.So yes, it is a scam.That is the process you will go through.It gives you experience so it may not necesarily be a waste of time to go perform in front of a new group of people but its not worth it to pay the money!!Again,me and my sisters went and this is from an anonymous source.Just tryn to help!!!

I have been to 4 of these this year because I am "so cute."I am stopped atleast once a month by some random person.Steven Speilberg does NOT go into malls to find cute faces.Atleast I thought he held casting calls or found people for talent.This is the most expensive of the many I have been two.Just wanted to let everyone know the process bfore going into it!!!
