This is regarding a complaint that I filed with the BBB in New York regarding Amex Limousine. I made three complaints to the BBB regarding this company and never recieved any type of response from them regarding my complaint. I would think that someone would have taken the time and respond to my complaints after the 30 day grace period that they give to the company to respond to my initial complaint. I also complained to the Taxi and Limousine authorities and recieved a half a*s letter with some lame excuse as to why they could not continue the investigation which would have taken a phone call to to the company to find out who was operating the bus. So I did that and gave the information to the Taxi and Limousine authorities and gee I never heard back from them.

I have also been in contact with the attorney Generals office who did refer me back to the Taxi and limousine authorities for the complaint. I find it frustrating that people can't get any satisfaction from these government agencies after having a issue with a company from thier state. I'm from Ct and I had to deal with a limousine service from Nre York due to the fact that in CT any limo style bus that holds more than 14 people have to be registered outside of CT. I am just very frustrated that the BBB and the authority that over sees these companies gave little time and effort to resolve the issue.

I went as far as to contact news agencies for asistance but being not news worthy I guess was told that they were not interested in looking into the matter. Do I seem upset yes I am. I was a police officer for 27 years to include being in investigations and also a K-9 handler and never would I have ignored any ones complaint. I just feel that this whole thing is a domino effect that just falls back on the little guy to suck it up.

This person who wrote in about whether or not the BBB is a goverment agency or a private organization has lit a fire that will not go out. Who the freak does he think he is to say that my complaint was just nothing but a whim. I was out almost $ 1,800.00 dollars for the party bus and lost the deposit on the church for another $1,000 dollars not to mention the soiled wedding dress from the bus being so dirty. Is that a whim Mr. Silver spoon in your mouth. Being retired that is a good chunk of change added to the 30 K for the wedding. Who do you think you are to stand in judgenent of someone who had lost so much when he entruste the service of a business owner who promised the world and gave nothing. People like you who instead of writing that he was so wrong and he should have made things right you get on your phony band wagon and b***h about whether the BBB is a goverment agency or not. People liek you make this world suck.Try standing up for the person that was wronged and not for some petty war on words..

You should be careful about what you say before you put your foot in your mouth. I said that the BBB and THE AUTHORITIES that oversee these companies would act on these complaints. And yes you are right why should they cater to my little whims. You answered my question as to why I never got any answeres. You sound like you were born with a silver spoon in that big mouth of yours or maybe your just one of these typical buisness owners that just don't care about the service they provide to their customers. Your not the owner of Amex Limo are You?

Apparently you need a refresher course in the field of investigations. The BBB is not a government agency. It is a private organization funded by business owners and is not required to answer to anyone other than its own board of directors. They are not required to cater to your whiny complaints, officer.
