BCTI, Business Computer Training Institute - Misrepresentation Of Education. ripoff, falsely advised, exaggerated, spoofed. Fife Washington

When I first started BCTI, I was ecstatic that I would be learning a new career. After attending for a while, I began to see that what I had thought, or had been told by the recruiting agent that got me to sign up for BCTI had told me was all wrong. I was not learning the things or progressing into things that would eventually lead me to employment.

I began to see that something was not right. I attended one of their graduation ceremonies and some of the graduating students got awards for being employed at McDonalds! Another got an award because because BCTI told them to say they were "self-employed"! This is just wrong and shows that BCTI was just satisfying numbers to put on their statistical data sheet.

I also read another article in here where Mr. Gordon? said the customers were the employers? How wrong that is!! It is the students that make your money possible that are your customers!!!! I can't believe you said that Mr. Gordon! But it is that kind of thinking that has made BCTI such a bad place to go.

I was told that BCTI had state of the art technology and that was what it was teaching, yet when I started school there, all the computers were old and the software was pre Windows 2000 when the recruiter had told me everything was at least Windows 2000. When I asked about when it would be updated, BCTI said that this was already being implemented and not to worry about it. When I graduated the program, they still didn't have Windows 2000 programs.

One of the requirements of our "Pro-Gro" (Professional Growth) class was to search and research companies that we would want to work for. Well, almost the entire web is off-limits to the students. If you want a website put on their so called "green-list" of sites to visit, you have to tell the instructor and they have to call the "IT" department to put it on. Ok ... so "IT" puts the site on the "greenlist", but only the hompage. They don't allow you access to the rest of the site! Mind you, these computers don't have hard drives in them ... it's not like you can download anything off the web, yet we are told that we are not allowed to Download anything because someone did that a while back and ... guess what? It took them 3 weeks to get the entire system back up and running. I don't know about you, but if I had an IT department that took 3 weeks to get my business back up and running (there is only one server there) I would have a NEW IT department. There is no excuse for that.

SO, Don't go to BCTI, They are not what they say they are and they won't do what they say they really will.
