BCTI Business Computer Training Institute Receiving Poetic Justice Ethical compromises, sex offenders in night time classrooms with female instructors, falsigying federal documents ripoff Gig Harbor, Tacoma, Lacey Washington

I was employed by BCTI. I worked at two locations during my employment. I have witnessed many problems that would lead me to consider the school an amazingly well orchestrated rip-off, at the very least.

During one particular situation in which I was involved, school officials were notified that a student did not have the mental capacity to benefit from the classes. When her inability to understand was brought to the higher ups, much stress resulted. Two individuals refused to compromise their ethics, while many others tried to find a way to enroll the student, regardless of the situation.

I was told to answer the questions on the quiz taken by the student for federal financial aid. I refused and was treated very poorly at this campus by others who were willing to commit this student to years of loan repayment when she could not even comprehend what exactly a federal student loan was.

I was later made to write a statement regarding this situation because there was legal action on the former student's behalf. I felt intimidated into writing a statement and was told pretty much what to say in this statement. I regret writing that statement without giving full disclosure of the entire incident.

Beyond this incident I learned that there were male sexual offenders in classrooms that ran late into the night with female instructors. These same instructors were required to park behind the building in Tacoma. They often left alone in the dark. This situation was brought to the attention of the school directors on many occasions. Instructors did not feel safe because they were not. The cars of employees were broken into behind the Tacoma campus and BCTI would not accept any responsibility for the damages even though employees had no choice of parking location.

I left employment with BCTI after feeling endangered and realizing that the school was providing sub-standard training at ridiculous costs. I was fortunate to leave but still feel concerned about situations that existed. I know many good people who were fired unfairly by BCTI, because like myself, they chose not to accept the unethical situations presented them.
