Geez, where shall I begin? 

On 2/20/11 I was duped by a commerical to try thier wonderful services.  I signed up for what they advertised as a "7 day free trial".  I searched a few and most but one were all inaccurate information. Some were even blatenly wrong information.  Do not rely on the information they have, it more in likely is wrong anyway.

Since I was not happy at all with the information had, I called the number listed on the website. (there was no online cancelation tools shown)

I have this call logged with T-Mobile as a 4 minute call.  So I have proof I called the number and had a 4 minute conversation with them.

Of course they didn't cancel my account.  Instead they charged me over $54 on my credit card without my consent. 

I gave them the opporuntity to rectify the issue.  In a nutshell they finally canceled the account on 3/6/2011 via email  (I highly recommend you cancel via email instead of by phone to prove you contacted them)

They would not reverse the charge only claimed they would'nt change me again (this has yet to be proven). 

So, if you see thier commericals, DONT BE DUPED!  They are the scum of the earth, unethical business, leeches of the basin and will suck your bank account dry.  They have the "we don't give a sh*" attitude. 

So run, run as fast as you can.  Do not use  It is a waste of your time and you will be scammed out of money, regardless if you cancel.  They will continue to steal your money.

Everyone get on the same page

I to signed up for your services and cancelled it within 30 day. I no longer needed it. While paying my creditcard today I notice a billing from your company. I called in and informed the person of what had happened. He informed me that your company has no record of my cancellation, but was willing to extend services to me till Nov 24th 2014. I told him I hadn't need them since back in April and don't need them now. I asked about a refund and was told that since you have no record of me cancelling, I'm not entitaled to a refund.

$22.86 a month may not be much to you, but it a lot to people on fixed incomes. I do admit I should have kept a closer eye on my billing and you better believe I will from now on.

I am a customer of beenverified and I've never had an issue with the site besides that the information is at time not so current, but they do explain that their service is all based on public records. I hate to see companies bashed on because people don't know how to read. Its not about stealing money.

I did the 7 day free trial but I had forgot to cancel that's why they charged me a 96.00 subscription that i picked when i signed up. I actually got my refund when I called in and then they offered my 30 more days for free so i kept the service. Oh and just to make it clear they do have certain terms of service like you shouldn't use it to do background checks its for fun not business .

I too was ripped off my Been Verified,com

I hired a girl to clean my house and ran a background check on her through Been Verified .com according to the report I got back her record was clean. I went to work one morning she was schedualed to clean my house that day. She cleaned my house out alright  to the tune of 6000.00 I called and filed a report with the police they ran a check on her and she had a crminal history of 16 years on file. I wouldn't reccomend this service to no one nor will I ever use it again.

Hardly seems like a rare occurence

I too have been duped by this company. I had received emails saying my account was canceled all to find a nice 96 dollar withdrawal from my checkbook. i called and when i expressed that i was upset the operator told me and i quote "Oh come on sir i don't feel good today." i replied that i would continue to call back, and she replied "well ill inform everyone here not to help you" at which point i hung up. surprisingly after another attempt i found someone who could do their job and got a refund.
