This is not an auction site. Instead, it is a gambling site masquerading as an auction. Beezid is a rip-off.  I became suspicious when I bid at the 1 second mark and each time I did, Beezid's clock froze.  This happened to me 4 times.  I began taking screenshots of the problem and suspect that they are using bots to raise the bids.

I made one successful bid to win a Beezid's bid pack.  You pay for the packs so that you can spend them bidding on Beezid's items. Bids were out of sequence. I have 7 screenshots of the action and proof of this.  I complained to Beezid via email and requested a refund. I have not heard back from them.

Do yourself a favor.  Stay away.  This is a fraudulent web site! Beware.

Beezid Penny auction

AUTHOR: tenpen - (United States of America)

Beezid is a gambling site, fraudulently advertised as an auction site, penny auction or not. It reminded me of Las Vegas where the social engineers have planned every way possible to get every last dime, nickel, dollar from anyone participating. With an auction, a real one, you are not required to lose money if you are not the highest bidder. This is not the case with Beezid. With this scheme, you are bound to lose money.

I believe that they use bots, stacking the odds even further. So, not only is Beezid a gambling site, their practices are highly suspect. I think the odds are actually better in Vegas and Reno because of the State gambling commission regulates the industry. After becoming suspicious, I actually took a series of screenshots with a time stamp and found bid prices out of sequence when the bot bid. The bot was the top bidder even though it bid lower than the last bid. When agreeing to the terms, I did not agree to bidding against bots.

Beezid is a "penny auction," and...

AUTHOR: veritas - (United States of America)

...from what I've read in the research I am doing BEFORE bidding, it is legit.  The experiences you had are completely normal, given the structure of bidding on the site, and watchdog sites have commented on it favorably.  Every penny auction site has an element of a "gamble," but nothing malicious seems to be happening at Beezid.  It is an accepted fact that penny auction sites may throw a time delay in after a bid to eliminate the tendency toward last minute "squatters."  For a better explanation, see here:

and here:

The latter is a watchdog site, so you can report any "problems" to them, and they should be able to give the issue more exposure.  The site should only be labeled as fradulent if none of their structure is explained in the user agreement that you almost assuredly agreed to before bidding.  If it isn't, then a case can be made.
