I had about $3000 in cashback coming back to me within a 3 month period as I am a heavy buyer on the internet.  That $3000 went down to about $2000.  My numbers keep changing in the amount owed section.  They are a small individual company with a good looking website.  There are no good explanations from them why many of my cashbacks are missing.   Also really hard to track as I have hundreds of transactions.  Many of those transactions are being reversed randomly.  Never again will I use them.  I have been paid out for many of the transactions but also have not been paid for a lot of them.  Do not use them as a cashback website.  There are many other legit, dependable cashback websited out there.  Befrugal NO.

BeFrugal still up to the same tricks

I decided to give BeFrugal another shot after a 2-year hiatus as they were the only ones offering cashback for two merchants I was interesting in purchasing from.  I made three purchases and failed to receive ANY cashback within the specified timeframe.  I filed cashback inquiries with BeFrugal and, ultimately, was not paid any of the cashback I was owed.  For two of those purchases, BeFrugal even shows a record of my clicks AND the related purchases on their website, but sent me a denial that fraudulently claims I didn't click through their site.  Once again, the merchant paid them, but they claim otherwise and used it as justification for not paying me.  The merchant confirms that BeFrugal was in fact paid.  While most of us are "only" being ripped off for $10-20, it's important to consider the scale of what they're doing.  They are ripping off hundreds of thousands of people for $10-20 each, which puts the profits for this scam well into the millions.

I had a similar experience

Although my spend was far less than yours, I had a similar experience with BeFrugal.  I received appropriate credit for some transactions, but fr many others I either received a lower percentage or nothing at all.  When I contacted BeFrugal regarding the incorrect percentage paid out, whih as approximately half of what I should have received, I was directed to the current percentage rate which is what thy utilized to calclate my cashback.  For all subsequent transactions, I took a screenshot of the percentage listed on the page just prior to completing my transaction.  When BeFrugal underpaid me once again, I emailed them requesting they correct the amount and provided a screenshot showing the percentage they should have paid me.  They failed to ever pay me the correct amount.  ON numerous other transactions, they failed to pay me anything at all.  Each and every time I provided proof of purchase and was told I would be contacted when they received confirmation from the merchant.  Not once did they ever contact me and when I contacted them on subsequent occasions to obtain an update, I was told that the merchant never responded to them and thus, I would not be paid.  I find this impossible to believe as these merchants contract with BeFrugal and if they weren't paying, they would be in breach of contract and BeFrugal would stop working with these merchants.  Moreover, when similar reporting issues arise with competitor FatWallet, they are always resolved swiftly and without incident.  I have since closed my BeFrugal account and won't be doing business with them again.  The higher percentages they offer are meaningless considering that they rarely ever pay out what is owed.
