****SCAM ALERT****THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! I have been in the aquatics hobby for 20+ years. I have never had such a terrible experience in my life. I have spent thousands of dollar at Beital's Aquariums. I was publicly disrespected and down talked by Craig the owner after catching him in several lies. Even his own employees admit to knowing the SCAMS he runs. He sells sick "grey market" fish that no other aquariums want. That's of course when he is not paying some thug to smuggling in his "personally acquired livestock" WHAT A JOKE. Every saltwater fish is infested with ICK; a terrible parasite that kills fish. How do I know this? First I,m a Medical Doctor educated in Human Biology. Second my friend is the head Marine Biologist at the San Diego Aquarium. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS SCAM ARTIST!!!! Everyone will soon get beat by Beitals Aquariums. I feel bad for the fish! LOL

POSTED: Thursday, June 04, 2015

I have been a customer of Beital's  for over 10 years, and I have been in the hobby for 40 years. I have 2 beautiful tanks, a 200 gallon fresh water planted tank, and a 500 gallon reef. Everthing from livestock to hardware has  been purchased from Beital's. The service I have recieved is top notch and reliable. I find the people there are very knowledgable and I am always treated with respect.

Response to this customer

We at Beitals do not import "grey market" fish that nobody else wants. All our suppliers are regulated throughThe Fish and  and wildlife Department of the United States who inspects each and every shipment of fish and invertebrates we get in. This particular customer came in and bought a blue damsel for a small 10 gallon saltwater tank he has. He later complained it had it a white mark. So we exchanged it,. He also purchased a blue green chromis a few days later. He came in the following Tuesday and claimed the fish had ick. Our system here has and continues to have many fish, in particular the blue green chromis in the tank he bought from without any problems with parasites.

The customer stated to us that every fish has ick, that its just a matter of time before it shows. He also stated to us that everybody has cancer in their bodies. This was a surprised to us to hear a supposedly medical doctor telling us that. The customer was irate and hard to deal with.

We at Beitals try to educate and satify our customers. However some customers have unreasonable expectations.  This customer obviously does not understand that his system is the one that probably has ick in it. We maintain thousands of gallons of healthy fish. We would not be in business for over 28 years if we did not have healthy fish and invertebrates.

This type of customer needs to have more education as to how to maintain properly any type of aquarium not to mention a saltwater system which is  more delicate and requires more time and attention as well as knowledge.

We invite anybody to come and check out our systems in our store. We gurantee we have the largest selection of freshwater adn marine fish and invertebrates in the Tri-state area.

Owner of Beitals Aquariums
