Bekins Moving & Storage Houston ripoff Houston Texas

I had Bekins put my Furniture into their storage facility and paid for $60,000 worth of insurance. Then they were to deliver the items to a Freight Forwarding Company to be shipped overseas. They were to notify me when they were going to deliver to the Freight Forwarder so that I could inspect the items and verify they were all there. I told them to call me the day of the delivery. They called me after they had delivered and left.

When I got to the facility, they had failed to deliever several boxes and mixed my Shipment with a Mr. Johnsons, I called the Manager several times and got no response, I notified the dispatcher that they had mixed my boxes and had damages a brand new sofa. I asked them to deliver my items to me and gave them the box numbers and the numbers of Mr. Johnsons items.

They Never called me back. I went to their office and the Manager was never there. I continued to try and get my items. Of which it consisted of very expensive computer equipment and Stereo equipment.

They claimed that I must file a claim, when I filed the claim they denied it immediately, I then went to the Better Business Bureau and Filed a complaint, only to have the BBB, ignore me, because Bekins Pays them Dues, they offer no help and refused to file my complaint. I continued to call and continued to request my items.

Again they ignored me so I FILED SUIT AGAINST THEM. I was a mediator for the Texas Department of Transportation which monitors moving companies, the biggest problems I handled for them was substitution of items after they had gone through the boxes at their storage facility and taken the valuables out. BE AWARE THAT MOST MOVING COMPANIES BEKINS INCLUDED STEAL WHAT THEY CAN OF VALUE AND THEN DENY IT EVER HAPPENED AND THEN EVEN IF YOU PAY FOR INSURANCE DO NOT HONOR IT.
