i called belisi to confirm my cancellation because the e-mail i was sent needed to be explained to me. i did't understand why i had to pay $30 to cancel when i tried to cancel the next day, over a week before i actually received the order.

the lady on the phone started out talking loud and fast, therefore i had difficulty trying to get my point across. she talked over me as i was talking. it was if she was already mad. then she said have a nice day and hung up! wow!! i was dumbfounded. NOT GOOD BUSINESS!! EVERYBODY BEWARE!!! belisi clothiers is not customer friendly. they obviously are not interested in satisfying their customers, especially when it comes to cancelling accounts.

Communication Issues, misunderstandings and cancellation policies

Being that I do not know the account in reference to this complaint I can only comment on the following.



If this customer had a problem with our representatives we do have managers and supervisors on duty in which the customer could have called and spoken with or contacted though our online system. Our management team cannot resolve an issue if we are not made aware of the situation at hand.



I am picking up however, that this customer obviously did not read the terms and conditions of their order.



First of all I will comment that, orders placed through our website can be incentivized or nonincentivized.



This means that consumers are directed to our website by different marketing sources or affiliates. All of our advertisements direct the consumer to our website at "will"; meaning a consumer chooses to come to our website through email marketing or has chosen an offer through an incentive meaning "they try to qualify or receive incentive points" in exchange for signing up through various programs, and one being The Belisi Necktie Club.



In cases of "incentivized" offers Belisi Fashions reports the completion of an order prematurely, meaning directly once a customer signs up for the offer.



This is a large risk for Belisi Fashions, meaning we pay for the cost of the points or marketing fee to the affiliate offering the gift or prize to the customer that chooses to order through our program.



If these incentive companies did not have participating companies to sponsor these offers/gifts, the prizes these customers are trying to get, for one , the gifts would not exist as someone needs to pay for them.The sponsors pay for these incentivized gifts offered through the affiliate.



Immediate releasing the consumer's incentive points for their order is an upfront risk to Belisi Fashions but a Bonus for the consumer, being if they complete their agreement with the affiliate and complete the offers required, they don't have to wait to complete their 2 yr commitment with Belisi Fashions to get their reward points, its credited to their account immediately towards their free gift.

if the consumer however, did not complete their offers through the affiliate in order to qulaify for all the points, this is a situation that the consumer needs to resolve with the affiliate, as Belisi fashions has already given them the points and paid the affiliate, as agreed when they signed up for the offer.



What certain consumers fail to realize or understand is the following:



Our Necktie Club is very similar to the working of Columbia House, which is a continuity club that offers you a package of discounted Cd's or DVD's in exchange for additional purchases to complete an obligational agreement.



Belisi Fashions is very similar in its club membership requirements , only, we sell neckties.



Columbia House advertises discounted packages For example: currently they offer 12 Cd's for free, with a membership commitment of 5 additional cd purchases within the next 2 yrs.You have 10 days to return the package for account cancellation and a refund. Obviously if you are keeping the 12 free cd's you need to make the additional purchases as part of the agreement.



Belisi Fashions offers 3 ties for $3.00 each plus $7.95 shipping and handling , a total of $16.95. We require an additional 4 purchases of our neckties at regular club prices within the next 24 months. We also offer a satisfaction guarantee, meaning if you are not satisified with the merchadnise, the consumer has 10 days to return the shipment for account cancellation and a refund, with no further obligations.



In regards to the cancellation fee, this applies to consumers that were directed to us through an affiliate website and placed their order in efforts to qualify for a "free incentive/gift". This fee applies when a consumer places their order and then immediately cancels without receiving or looking at the product. Orders in this nature, in when they are placed just on the "intent" of receiving the 'free incentive"off the affiliate, in other words they do not intend on completing their agreement of fulfilling the offers to complete their requirements, cause material harm to Belisi Fashions. Therefore, to prevent consumers from taking advantage of this fraudulent activity we impose a cancellation fee of $30.00. Which is no different than that of a cell phone service or internet service, that offers you a modem or free phone in exchange for a 2 yr commitment. If you cancel the service early, then you pay a termination fee.



This is very possible this is the issue that happened with this customer, but there is not enough information included on this complaint to further investigate the account.The customer is more than welcome to call our company and speak with a department manager or supervisor to resolve their issue.
