Funny thing about Bell Sympatico and their computer mess ups. I know. I once worked there.

First of all, half the people who work there are retards. They are suppose to ask you to do a credit check first to see if you are approved for a computer. Next they are suppos to explain the different kinds of computers and progrmams and let you know that if you are too move to another city within your 36 month laptop contract and it does not have bell sympaitco internet, you still have to pay the internet fee regardless.

They also have to tell you that changing your internet to a lower level from high speed to basic cannot be done, you will have to break the contract and all hell will be lose.

If you choose to break the contract before the 36 months is up, you get to foot the rest of the lump sum of momey you owe all at once. if you don't pay it, you're internet is suspended and maybe even your tele. the credit service department will be contacting you.

Also, you don't get microsoft office or anything special like that. It's only a free trial.

Half the times the people don't tell u anything and make it seem as easy as pie. And 90 percent of the time, you either don't get your computer or it's late or its missing a piece or the wrong computer.


Computer Situations:

Either the sales person was an idiot, signed u up for a computer when inthe end u can't have it because u dont pass the credit score. but neither of u know this until 8 weeks later when you are asking, WTF? where is my computer. you cal back and the next person says, "uhhh.sorry.. i dont see an order. lets try to do it again. oh look. you cant have one. u failed the credit check"

There will be some programs with Bell's programs and your order won't process for weeks on end. Even worse, sometimes they start charging you for the equipment before you even get the computer!!

You signed up for the DEAL. Computer and a PRINTER. Then you find out that the Printer deal was expired like a day before you applied. Or.. you aplied for one with a printer, but something stupid happends like your order was not placed properly and by the time they fix it, the printer deal is done and they can't get you one.

They send you the WRONG computer. And half the time you can't tell what the computer is until you open it up from the box. Funny thing is, there is this tiny purple sticker on the box that reads, "ONCE ITS OPENED ITS YOURS" you can't return it. Oh, and did I mention that a copy of the contract is in the box? Again, you can't reach it until you open the box, but you can't open it because if u do, you are doomed if u don't like it or its the wrong one.
So now you're stuck with a shity computer.

Well don't look at Bell Sympatico or HP/DELL for help. We can't help you.
Bell Sympatico wil tell you to talk to HP or DELL (whoemver the computer brand) and those companies will tell you to call here.

Buying a computer at Futureshop with one month free Internet.
Sympatico will tell you to talk to futureshop to set it up because its their promo and futureshop will tel you to call sympatico because they are the internet company.

I don't know if there is anything else I forgot, but gawd.. It's really not worth getting a computer.Not to mention paying 0 or 30 dollars hardware fee per month for 36 months makes your desktop or laptop computer can even be more expensive in the end then buying it at a retail store, depending.

Since I worked for both places (on outsource contracts) I have a difficult decision deciding who is WORST!! Dell also has poorly trained employees, who mostly are in india, all employees are over worked and underpaid, both have crappy products, you get the picture. There's seems to be a lack of communication in Dell, it's not unusual to have parts of someones PC missing when it arrives, or not to show up at all. There's no way I would recommend anyone buy a PC from Dell, buy one local, BECAUSE if it breaks you can take it into the store to have it fixed.

Whether you choose Dell or Bell your life will be a living HELL.
