Two big problems with Bella Medspa: (1) They mailed me an EMPTY bottle of Latisse. Empty!, and (2) They intentionally did not tell me the expiration of the Latisse rebate and intentionally did not tell me about a better promotion.

This company runs a Latisse scam by mailing out nearly expired and empty bottles of Latisse. I paid $103 dollars for 60 applicators and NO Latisse liqud ! The Latisse bottle was EMPTY! Avoid ordering Latisse from this company. Scam !!!

Not only that, here is how they screwed me on the rebate and new promotion. I called up the phone number on BellaMedSpaOnline.com to order Latisse. They were offering $20 rebate on Latisse and they would mail out the package to the customer's address. I asked how I would get the rebate, and was told by the soft spoken lady that I needed to pay full price, receive the package, then go to Latisse.com to fill out the form to get the rebate.

So I ordered and paid $103 for one package of Latisse on Dec. 28, 2010. I received the package January 6, 2011. I went to the Latisse website as directed and discovered that the $20 rebate expired Dec 30, 2010 ! However, Latisse starting Jan 1, 2011 offers a two for one deal. I called up Bella Medspa and asked why I wasn't told about the rebate expiration, and why I wasn't told to wait until Jan 1, 2011 so I could get the two for one deal. The lady at Bella Medspa did not address my questions and instead gave me the Allergan phone number.

I called Allergan and asked for the rebate since I did pay for it before Dec. 30. I was told by Allergan that Bella Medspa should have told me to fill out the rebate form before Dec. 30 since it was not necessary to receive the package of Latisse in order to fill out the rebate. On top of that, if I wanted the two for one deal, then I would have had to purchase another bottle of Latisse in January 2011.

Bella Medspa intentionally screwed me on the rebate and sent me an empty bottle of Latisse.

Bella Medspa, Bellamedspaonline.com, and their offices are Latisse Scammers !!!

In Response to Owner's Rebuttal

AUTHOR: You won''t get away with this... - (United States of America)

Firstly, I do not believe I am tarnishing anyone's reputation.  I am simply stating the facts of what happened.  I'll be nice here and say that my incident should not distract others from buying or using the services at Bella MedSpa.   I would write this same review if this incident happened from a product purchase made at Amazon.com or any other online retailer.  I am an internet customer, and am relating what happened during my transaction.

Also, this is my only experience with Bella MedSpa, and it did not go smoothly.  So, yes, I was rather heated when I wrote the original review.  As an internet shopper, you can imagine how I felt.  The big fear of internet shopping is buying from a company you don't know and not getting a quality product after money has been spent.

Bella Med Spa did eventually correct the situation by shipping me out replacements along with a small gift.   As far as I'm concerned, they made good.

However, to clarify my case, the rebuttal by the owner contained incorrect information.  Here I will re-state the facts correctly:

1) The bottle of Latisse in the original shipment was not missing, it was EMPTY.  I never told anyone the bottle was missing.  I don't know how the original bottle arrived empty.  Was it an error by UPS, Allergan, Bella Med Spa, or some bored person who likes tampering with sealed packages?  I don't know.

2) About 2 weeks later, UPS called me.  I spoke with the UPS agent who asked if I still had the original shipment packing material.  I told UPS that was weeks ago, and Bella Med Spa never told me to save the packing material.  UPS only contacted me that one time and I responded.  I was never contacted "several times" by UPS.

3) If Bella Med Spa is an Allergan partner, than they should have known the $20 rebate promotion expired at the end of the year, so all forms should have been filled out and sent to Allergan before the expiration.  If the sales promotion is advertised on their site, then shouldn't they have known all the terms and rules?

4) As far as customer service goes, when I called Bella Med Spa and told them that the $20 promotion from Allergan expired, the Bella Med Spa lady on the phone told me to call Allergan directly.  She refused to even address my questions or concerns.

Again, this is what happened during my transaction only.  Bella MedSpa made good, and as far as I'm concerned the situation is closed.  Buy from Bell MedSpa, I think plenty of lessons were learned here.

Owner's Rebuttal

AUTHOR: Bella Medspa - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, February 14, 2011

First of all, at Bella Medspa we take all feedback very seriously and have built our business on delivering value and outstanding customer service.  In no way will I ever stand for any client of ours feeling like they were treated poorly.  I appreciate that this person feels less than satisfied and is using the internet to say so, however, because my reputation is deliberately being tarnished, I have to file my rebuttal.

This person purchased Latisse from us via a telephone order.  We shipped the product to her through UPS.  Several days later she contacted us by telephone to say that the bottle of Latisse was completely missing from the box.  (In her report here, she says the bottle of product was present but nearly empty and nearly expired.)  While we never had any issue like this before or since we immediately shipped out another box to her.  We had no proof that there was any missing product other than her word.  But on her word, and because we value our customers and take customer service very seriously, we just immediately shipped another box.  We figured we would get to the bottom of the issue but that we would get the customer satisfied first.

We contacted UPS to file a report because we assumed that somehow the box had been tampered with.  UPS has since attempted to contact this consumer several times to research the situation but has gotten no answer from her.

Regarding the issue with the rebate and other promotion that Allergan was running, I must say that as an Allergan partner we were surprised ourselves when they started running the Buy One Get One Free promotion just after the holidays.  We discovered it online.  We did not deliberately hide that information from her.  The $20 rebate and/or the free box of Latisse comes directly from Allergan, not us, and so we have absolutely no incentive to hide or promote one of those offers over the other.

OK, so us not knowing about a great promotion shouldn't effect the customer.  I would have been more than happy to contact Allergan on behalf of this client and get her the free box of Latisse, or at least her $20 rebate.  We are not perfect and I will say that I wish I had been informed of the rebate issue immediately.  But I just happened to see this "review" on RipoffReport.  I have made many attempts to contact this client.  She is completely unavailable to speak with me, however her friend has assured me that she has received the second box of Latisse that we shipped.  I have asked her to ask her friend to contact us so that we can help get her completely satisfied.  To say "Bella Medspa intentionally screwed me on the rebate and sent me an empty bottle of Latisse" seems uncalled for.  I understand that she may have written this post in the heat of the moment, but upon careful reading and knowing the whole story, it seems that since I shipped her two boxes of Latisse and she only paid for one AND she drug our name through the mud on this site, I'm the one who got ripped off.

I invite anyone who reads this to contact me directly at our main office at 484-341-8239.  I wish you all the very best.
