ATTENTION BELLUS MEDICAL CLINIC
Dangerous and Health Threatening Medical Clinic
I visited Bellus Medical Spa in Waters Tampa, during my first and only visit , I saw a Doctor by the name of Dr. Phillips who I learned later that is not a doctor and that his name wasn’t Phillip Dr Phillips wearing a Doctor's costume played the role of a medical practitioner , proceeded to present his medical diet Plan and prescribed a 500 daily calorie a diet regimen and a maximum strength and hardcore diet pill “ Phentermine” .
Dr. Phillips told me that he was going to set me up in a special plan that was going to allow me to save 5 dollars a week per visit. That every week once I came for my injections and doctor’s visit , they would auto deduct my payment to save time and money . I only visited him once and they deducted several hundreds of dollars out of my accounts and when I called to request an explanation, they adopted the an automatic aggressive behavior and intimidating techniques , I was treated with insults and offenses and threatened several times, to try to intimidate me from asking for my money back or formulating any claims. Since I made my first payment with my mother's card , they even told me that if I kept requesting for a refund they were going to send me to jail claiming that I stoled my mothers card to make my payments, like if that claim could be done by them and not the card holder.
My real Doctor told me, that it was a diet that could kill me and they should have never started such a hard regimen without blood tests first, obviously the money was more important.
They are not a medical clinic – they don’t have steady doctors – when I started asking for the doctors who treated patients there they got nervous and aggressive , later I learned that they work under an absent doctor’s license and I have a lot of hard time understanding how they allow people to even get these drugs and walk out in exchange if money, to walk out of their office with such a controlled substance without previous tests done or a responsible medical assessment in exchange of 325 dollars. ( I didn't know about the dangers of Phentermine )
They only saw me once and continued to charge my accounts with 6 in 5 weeks, and never even called to ask if i was coming back or not, I sent over 2 emails to stop charges and also called 3 times and they never answered until I told them I was going to make a formal complaint to the police.
Don’t do it a 500 daily calorie intake can make your body sick and those pills can kill, you. This is a fake clinic and they don’t care about the safety and health of patients , I never received a call to follow up but they were very diligent to get weekly moneys and charge for services they never provided, they gave me 30 pills of Phentermine for $326 dollars, the full amount they tried to steal from me.

I have been going to this clinic for a few weeks now and i was begining to think i was a little crazy. I have been doing my own research on the clinic to see if i found anything weird or fishy and i have found allot of negative comments and people upset because theyve taken there money out of peoples bank accounts. I too went in and met with a phillips. they gave me the these diet pills and everything on the same day which i found weird because i thought they needed to be subscribed. again i thought it was weird but maybe i was just being paranoid. then when i called one day to re-schedule a appt the lady who answered said that there was a doctor that was assighned to the office but that he never came in and i said" wait so whos the guy whom i met with" and she hung up on me. VERY WEIRD. i called back and was a diffrent lady answered and just re-scheduled me i was going to talk about this "doctor" on my next visit. i was concerned that the person that was giving me medical advice and giving me diet pils with out even checking my blod work wasnt even a doctor when he presented him self as such. The diet does work ive lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks but who the heck knows if the diet the guy put me on is even safe? iam glad i found this post because i know i am not the only one who thinks that this office is shady in my opinion theres a doctor that comes once every couple of months and thats there cover-up. iam closing my bank accounts and speaking to a lawyer because i dont think that this office is a legal practice , thanks for speaking out if it wasnt for people like this we would neverknow that theres people going through the exact same things that were going through lol! iam calling the office first thing monday !

Smells Like a Real Scam : (

Dear Business Owner,
At the end of the day , you turned your head to the other side and accepted a credit card that didn't belong to the person paying. Did you even get an authorization from the so called mother of your patient ? Oh, sorry I can see that you didn't.
Don't underestimate people's intelligence, we all watch the news and read the papers we all know very well that there have been thousands of victims of doctors practicing without a license, and thousands of victims of doctors overcharging insurance companies for services never provided and thousands of people been sold drugs by pharmacies that dispense drugs without prescriptions to make the quick buck, in other words they have become drug dealers with licenses.
What I have never seen is a case of a patient planning a scam to get a medicine, That's of course unless you are dispensing highly controlled addictive medications without prescriptions, then I can see how people would try to scam you in exchange for drugs, because of their addictions.
There are thousands of public service clinics and even pharmaceutical companies that gives medications to poor people. What kind of clinic is this one that deducts moneys from patients even if they don't visit the clinic, aren't you supposed to pay as you receive services? Aren't you supposed to ask for an ID when you accept a credit card? MMMM I think some tried to scam the wrong party, I am glad you responded this way, so people can see how you will use their information, if they ever formulate a complaint.
But i have to congratulate you because you are the first business in the world that has thousands of clients and has only received one single complaint from a scammer. lol obviously you have more than one unhappy client, around maybe this complaint will helps others to come out and talk like this other one did..... and by the way what is this business of using two names that really doesnt seem right....lol Lemuel Felipe or Loammy Phillips. LOL : )

A. U.
I know it is hard to believe dear, but in our 10 years in business you ARE our first unhappy patient. And it is terribly obvious that you are pretending to have "a friend with the same complaint." You very well know we tried to accommodate you in a million ways and even offered to refund your full payment. Of course because we are bound by patient privacy laws we can't explain why you refused. You are the most unfair and dishonest person I have ever encountered.
And I strongly doubt any company would try to engage any person who has the audacity to fabricate the story you have posted here. Any one with half a brain realizes that you are fabricating all this nonsense and have a hidden agenda.
Why has she not contacted law enforcement and the Florida health department instead of making these absurd statements here?...
I'll tell you what a company will do in such a case. They simply get their legal department or attorney and file a lawsuit for slander.
A. U. , You do understand that there are slander laws which are going to come back and bite you? Have you considered that as we speak we are preparing a lawsuit against you for defamation and slander? You seem to be doing something quite foolish and you don't even understand the legal implications for posting so much false information. I hope you have enough financial resources to defend yourself from the lawsuit being prepared against you.

500 calorie a day diet is extreme, I have a friend who was a patient there and she truly lost a lot of weight, the problem is that she gained it back plus 27 pounds more and she gained them faster than she lost them.
A good advise if I may, please avoid trying to defend your image by focusing in insulting customers who has complaints, try addressing the customers concerns efficiently, by been so overly aggressive in your response, you are sending the wrong message to current and potential clients, for example " If you complain about my services this is what awaits you " you'll be called a scammer or aggressively offended, don’t fall in this low class service trap, just a little advise from someone who has worked with the public for years.
I agree that some customers may be more demanding than others but believe me, calling your customers scammers if they demand a refund , is not the way to address customers concerns, or grow your business, if that is how you handle customers issues , then you truly don't belong in an industry where you deal with the public, and consumers have the right express service concerns.
When companies gets these type of complaints they are better off, showing a caring attitude and not by responding the way you did here. You will probably offend me too, but I happen to think that a 500 calorie diet is absolutely, unhealthy and any doctor will agree. Also please don't try to sale the public the idea that you have never had an unhappy client , it makes you lose credibility, everyone who works with the public is aware that sometimes no matter what we do, some customers will not be happy. That's why major corporations have customer service departments and service guarantee policies.

Also I have never seen a company who defends their corporate image by focusing in insulting the customer who has a complaint, rather than addressing the customers concerns efficiently, by been so overly aggressive in your response, you are sending the wrong message to your clients, for example " If you complain this is what awaits you " just a little advise from someone who has worked with the public for years. i agree that some customers may be more demanding than others
But believe me when you call your customer scamers when they demand a refund or do not agree with your services, then you truly don't belong in an industry where you deal with the public.
When corporations get complaints like this one they address them in a objective manner not showing customers overly aggressive manners, in your response , you show your clients how you will treat them if they have complaints , you don't have to agree but do it in a educating manner by insulting your customers, you are only allowing others to see what awaits them if they don't like your services, and consumers have the right express service concerns.
When a company gets these type of complaints they are better off, even faking a concern for the lack of service than projecting energy in trying to insult your clients. Even better the best way to get more clients is to show a caring attitude and not by responding the way you did here. You will probably offend me too, but I happen to think that a 500 calorie diet is absolutely, unhealthy and any doctor who is aware of nutrition will agree. Also please don't ever say again that you have never had an unhappy customer , it makes you loose credibility, everyone who works with the public is aware that some times no matter what we do, some customers will not be happy.

These Absurd Allegations in themselves Illustrate the How False the above story is.
AUTHOR: Bellus Medical Spa - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, February 09, 2011
Ninety percent of the previous report is completely fabricated. Unfortunately the only thing correct is the name of the facility and the Address. If you read between the lines you will find how false this story is. Who in their right mind would pose as a doctor and "prescribe" medication? That statement made by this woman should in itself tell you about the completely FALSE nature of her report. If you wish to inquire about our facility, doctors, and services please call 813-877-6714 or visit the license verification website for the state of Florida and you may verify yourself the license for Dr. Laurance Vickman MD and our address listed on the license.
We have thousands of satisfied patients who have changed their lives around with the help of our fully licensed medical doctors. In fact we have never had a disgruntled patient, except for this one who was actually trying to pull a premeditated scam that I will detail below. Given the completely false story this woman is posting and due to patient privacy laws I will not go into much detail regarding her visit. But our medical records for her visit demonstrate that ALL she is stating is false and fabricated. But I will clarify that the "doctor Phillips" she claims as having prescribed her medication is just the person who welcomed her and handed her intake. CONTRARY to what she is stating, She was actually seen by Laurence Vickman MD. A fully licensed medical doctor in the state of Florida.
It has come to our attention that the person writing that fabricated story might be engaging in a scam to get free medication in Bay area medical facilities. She comes in using a card with her same last name (but that turns out to be actually her mother’s card) then her mother calls in saying that her daughter used her card without authorization. We told the mother we would process her refund immediately and simply asked her to send us written confirmation of someone using her card without authorization as we needed to take the necessary steps to collect from her daughter and report that the card had been used fraudulently. We are still waiting for that written confirmation. The premeditated scam in which they typically engage with success did not pan out as expected for them this time. This is why they are pretending to be so upset and fabricated this story. The daughter’s claim that we never called her is entirely false. We in fact called and emailed the daughter multiple times from the beginning trying to accommodate her, but she always missed her appointments. She always had a different excuse as she was simply trying to pull the above outlined scam to get free medication. It is unfortunate that due to patient privacy laws we can not post her name as a warning to other medical facilities. She will probably continue to pull this scam to medicate herself with the assistance of her mother.
