I am an employee of Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals, and I would like to share some tips with all potential and existing customers. Hopefully, this will help someone out. Their products currently include Avlimil, Enzyte, Rovicid, Rogisen, Altovis, Pruloto, Ogoplex.

First, if you order the free sample, you will be enrolled into their automatic billing program. It is called Managed Care Direct (MCD for short). This plan WILL bill you for further shipments. Now the sales agents are supposed to try and sell you on the MCD plan. They will offer you a variety of plans and offers. They are waiting for you to agree. Once you do, you are on the plan.

Now, I have to say this in their defense. They do record all of the sales calls that come into the center. There is a team that listens to all of the calls. Sales agents that fail to tell the caller that they will be enrolled in MCD are suspended the first time for a week and fired if it happens a second time. The customers involved are called back and the issue is resolved. That is for those that say that they were not told about MCD. I am afraid that you were. Now you may not have understood, but you were told.

Now, I will assume that you see charges on your credit card or debit card. Your first reaction is that they are unauthorized. See above, they were actually authorized as part of taking the free offer. Legal? Yes. Fair? No. Some of you may see more than one charge. That is because they are trying to build up their positive charge rating with credit card companies. A $65 charge may show as $20, $40, and a $5 charge. This makes it look like they had 3 positive charges instead of just one. They are trying to pull one over on the credit card company.

Now, what do we do about those credit card charges? First, call Customer Care and cancel your account. They WILL try to sell you other packages, and offer you really good deals. If you take ANY of these offers, you WILL still be on a plan and WILL get further charges to your credit card. You MUST say NO repeatedly. If they ask why, tell them it was making you sick, and you are unable to take the product.

Now ask for the credit. They will deny you a credit right off the bat. They will say that they do not offer credits for any shipped packages. This is a lie. There is ONE way to get a credit in this case and ONE way only. Tell them again that you cannot take the product and your DOCTOR said that you couldn't take it. This will trigger the following response. We can issue you a credit if your doctor sends us a letter stating that you are not able to take the product. Ask for the FAX number. DO NOT get angry. Just state that you are going to contact your doctor.

Call your doctor. Get a letter typed up. Have them FAX the letter to the number. Call back M-F about 48 hrs later to verify they got the FAX. Once they got the FAX, request the credit again. It will begin the process to get you a credit. It usually takes 30 days.

If for some reason this does not work, you will need to contact your credit card company. Dispute the charges. If your Credit Card or Debit Card has a holographic logo on it, you are protected for your purchases. Use that right! The more strikes that the company gets, the more likely the credit card companies are to stop processing payments for them.

Also, they do have a website www.askberkeley.com in which you can cancel MCD, but I have heard that it is not 100%. Your best bet is to call Customer Care. If none of this information solves your issue, you can try the following.

The company has been named at one time or another Warner Healthcare, Lifekey Inc, Bolland Nutraceuticals, Warner-Wagner, and a couple others. Right now, we are named Berkeley and we were told that those other companies are not under one name. They usually change them every 6 months to a year. It helps to have a clean slate for complaints from time to time. Do not be fooled, they are the same people. We are also coming out with 6 new products at months end. So look out for those.
