A few years ago, I enrolled in the Haldane program and I must say it was the worst mistake I ever made! I not only lost $5,000 but I also wasted a lot of time going back and forth to their office in Arlington, Virginia to get "great" advice on how to find that "perfect" job. After what I went through, I cannot in good conscience recommend these people to anyone because they are con artists.

When I visited the Haldane office in Arlington, Virginia, I was greeted by a "charming" young lady who identified herself as Irene Gavenas, who said she was a vice president with the firm and her job was to screen prospective "candidates." Ms. Gavenas then had me fill out a rather lengthy application where I had to disclose a lot of personal information about my finances and career goals. Ms. Gavenas then took this information back to the "review committee." After waiting about 20 minutes, Ms. Gavenas came back to the office where we were meeting and she told me she was "pleased to inform me that I made their list of qualified candidates. All you have to do is write us a check for $5000 and we can start working with you today!"

I told Ms. Gaveanus I'd have to think about this because I wasn't sure I could afford their services. When I told her that, Ms. Gaveanus was horrified. She berated me for not taking advantage of this "great opportunity" and she said she'd have to refer this matter to the "review committee." After discussing my situation with the committee, Ms. Gaveanus told me her superiors were concerned about my reluctance to sign up with their program. She also said if I wanted to enroll and take advantage of their special offer I'd have to sign up and pay now. So, like an idiot, I gave them my credit card and signed up.

To make a long story short, Haldane swindled me out of $5000 and they didn't do anything to help me find a job. The "counselors" had me jump through a lot of hoops by doing a lot of irrelevant exercises that were supposedly job related but they weren't very helpful as all they did was waste my time. After working with these people for almost two years, I can honestly say they don't know any more about job hunting than the average layman. BTW, I'm still working for the same company and I have yet to find that "ideal" job they promised me.

In reading this, I hope you will avoid the mistakes I made!
