Here I want to warn everyone that you don't expect to get any help from Best Buy (AKA Worst Buy) if you have problems with your order. Their customer service is the worst among hundreds of companies I have dealt with.

To make a long story short, I made an order from bestbuy.com in late October. Somehow the shipping address was my old address in another state. I didn't notice this until about half an hour later after I received an email notification from them.

When I found the mistake, I called immediately and asked for an address change. I was told it's already in the shipping process and address cannot be changed until it's delivered. They actually charged my credit card one day later and shipped it out two days later. A CSR told me to wait until it's delivered and they will help if I cannot get the merchandise. In the meantime, I also called the carrier (UPS) for an address change to re-route the merchandise to my correct address. UPS told me that only shipper can make that request (I know this because I had the same address mistake with amazon.com about two months ago. after I reported it to amazon.com, they contacted UPS to get the merchandise to my correct address - very good customer service).

Several days later when I found "delivered" on the UPS website, I called both UPS and best buy. UPS has the same word that only shipper can make any request. They can go back to aks it back if the shipper requests. Best buy told me that I have to wait until a week until UPS delivery settles down, that's the waiting period they and UPS can have any argument about a shipment. I was asked to call back one week later. I did so and found out that it's a pure lie. They haven't done and are not willing to do anything about it.

From then until now, I called BB at least 6-7 times. Their collective points are (1) You made the address wrong and not us; (2) You need to contact the person(s) living in your old addres to get it back; (3) Return the merchandise to a nearby store and we process the refund (from an email by Ainge. What an idiot! I reported non-receiving and the idiot asked me to return for a refund); (4) Contact them to de-activate the card and get a refund.

After weighing all options I chose 4 and called best buy. I thought it's over. After about a week until today, I didn't see anything they do with my credit refund. After I called them, a CSR (Aidy) told me that they will not do anything. Therefore, you can see that customer service in best buy is just run by a bunch of liars that they don't communicate with one another and they don't know what they individually are doing.

They don't care about customer needs, aidy even boldly told me that they don't care if I report it to my credit card company for a dispute. Besides, I tried 3 times to ask CSRs to let me talk to ther superviors, they all shunned and never let me reach the supervisor. That's the rare practive by best buy. I have called many companies regarding orders and services and can get supervisors easily if problems arise, but don't expect that from best buy.

I called my credit card company to dispute the charge. They told me that it's very imappropriate to ask customers to contact a thrid party (residents in my old address). They will represent me to talk with best buy. Let's see what happens.

In a word, stay away from this kind of shady companies that don't care about customer needs. People calling it "Worst Buy" have evidence to support the naming. When you have problems, they are not there to help you. When they make a mistake (say a $3000 HDTV mispriced at $300) they will do anything to stop the shipping process and don't think you'll get the deal. However, that's the only time that I recommend you to go to best buy (or online) if you can because that's the only opportunity you can rip off them instead of being ripped off. I just don't believe that they can correct their mistakes timely every time.
