It began by watching an infomercial on local tv here in Tennessee. The infomercial showed a variety of people that have supposedly had "huge" success from taking the Better Trades 2 day seminar. Funny enough one of those so called customers by the name of Dale Zamzow was featured as a former "teacher" that literally became rich from the course. Well, Dale just happened to be my instructor! After going back and watching the infomercial again i noted that several of those so called customers were actually Better Trades instructors! For all we know the entire lineup of clients used on the infomercial may actually work for BT. I noticed Markay Latimer and Dale Zamzow. The third person i believe was Shawn (last name unknown) and if this is true, Shawn is the customer service/tech support person in charge. This company puts on a great show to get people to sign up by using a very, very flambouyant speaker/presentation giver that waits until the last minute to tell you the cost is $3,000! They talk a good game and really talk up their customer service dept and talk about how nice and friendly and how they go out of their way to help. I heard from SEVERAL students that went through the course when i did how extremely rude one of the reps in particular by the name of Marilyn is. Well i had never spoken to her until Friday Sept. 1, 2006. I found out exactly how rude she was. After asking her what should have been a very simple question, she couldn't answer it nor did she try to find the answer. Instead she tells me to just "chock it up as a mistake in the book and just use the number 3" (referring to a question about what number should be used for a certain formula). I told her i refuse to take that as an answer and that's when she got smart with me. OF COURSE this led to me cursing her out because i am NOT THE ONE to take a screwing over easily. I told her for $3,000 she better find the answer! Word of advice is these presenters flat out lie to potential customers by telling them that you have the chance to earn your money back the 2nd day in class. In fact this is NOWHERE close to being the truth. THEY...THEMSELVES...place trades but never help you. Dale actually bragged about how much money he made on each trade and i finally stood up and said "YOU, made the money,Not us!" I demanded them to put me in touch with the CEO Freddie Ricks which they did. I totally went off on this guy about the fraudulent bs they fed people including one lady that was in tears because it was her entire savings. She found out at the seminar the next day that she would need almost another $6,000 in order to have all the "tools"! Just about EVERYONE attending was upset. I became personally close with one of their Traveling Enrollment Counselors and found out a bunch of deceiving scripts they tell potential clients. What Better Trades did not expect was to have someone in the paid seminar that was close friends not only with the top brass at the Attorney General's office in Tennessee. Nor did they expect me to have close friends at one of the top litigating law firms in the U.S. which secured the largest settlement from a company in U.S. history. They followed that up with several more blockbuster settlements. What REALLY ticked me off was they knew the info on the DVD's and Cd's was incorrect and so did their students. BT decided instead of correcting their screw up they would charge their clients (over $100 from what i last heard) to get updated material. In other words WE have to pay them because THEY made mistakes on the Dvd's! They also have a person by the name of Shawn that visits this website to rebuttal claims against BT. I have been told he visits and acts like he is a everyday person just responding to claims against them. I hope he's reading this one! That way he will know his staff pissed off the wrong client! One with a backbone and one that hates con men! They thought giving me software for a year would make me happy. WRONG! I personally intend on bringing this company down to it's knees until the doors of their offices close! I am planning on contacting and possibly subpoening clients and past clients to ask them about their feelings and if they would like to join me in a huge and our own blockbuster law suit against BT. I will be updating this Sept 14th after doing more research. I have a lot more info to post including other students i have found. I have more info that i may or may not release depending on the legal advice i am given. You know...MAYBE the intentions were good at one time with this company but it's obvious MONEY and GREED has taken over when you tell past customers you screwed up on the dvd'd will STILL cost over $100, then there are going to be problems. If you are a Better Trades customer and would like to get a FULL blown info pack about BT or would like to sign a petition AND/OR become a part of a lawsuit against them, file a Rip-off Report.
