Bev Thomas Beverly Jean Thomas Took $1,150.00 of my money for purchase of a puppy then REFUSED to give me the puppy or my money!! Fayette, Missouri

I do not know who Beverly Thomas talked to about me being turned down by several rescues but, I have NEVER been turned down by any rescue when I have applied to adopt or foster a dog! And I have adopted numerous dogs over my lifetime (70 years). Also, I did not APPLY to foster dogs. After I adopted a dog from Affenpinscher Rescue, the coordinator of the rescue, Sarah Simpson, asked me if I would consider being a foster Mom for Affenspinschers.  I accepted and fostered Affenpinscher dogs for that rescue for 10 years.  When Sarah passed away, I decided that I would no longer foster dogs for the rescue.

The information Beverly Thomas gave about two of my dogs dying due to carelessness is also false. My own children say I treat my pets better than I did them when they were growing up.  Also, anyone who knows me knows that my dogs are well taken care of and the last thing that would ever happen is my dog dying of carelessness!

In addition, I did NOT get back the entire amount I paid for the dog Beverly refused to let me have.  I had paid $600.00 of the total cost of the dog by Paypal shortly before I was to drive to Missouri to pick up the puppy.  I did get that $600.00 back because I filed a complaint with Paypal that I had not received the puppy I paid for and, Paypal refunded my money because my complaint was made withing the time limit required for a refund.  I had previously paid a $500.00 down payment to Beverly Thomas but never got that refunded.  Beverly is lying when she says I got a total refund.  I did not!  as a matter of fact, when I emailed her asking for my deposit back, she sent me a hateful email and said she would not give the money back. I still have that email.

She also told me to never contact her again.  At the time I was leaving home to pick up the puppy I had purchased from Beverly, she was angry that I did not leave home when I had originally planned.  She told me then that her reason for not giving me my puppy was because she had decided that since I broke my word about the time I was orginally scheduled to meet her, she had decided I was not dependable and would not be a good home for her puppy.  At that time, she never mentioned doing any research on me and certainly did not say anything about my being turned down to foster or adopt a dog or about losing two dogs due to carelessness. She was just angry that I had to reschedule my time to pick up the puppy due to the demands of my job as a Certified Public Accountant.

  It was tax season when I was trying to get away from my office to pick up the dog, a 400 mile trip from home.  Any one who knows about demands on CPAs during tax season also knows that during that time period, a CPAs free time is non-existent.

According to the Ripoff Reports, Beverly Thomas has done what she did to me to at least one other person who purchased a dog from her.  My advice to anyone purchasing a dog from Berverly Thomas is to NOT pay for the puppy until the time you actually pick up that puppy.  You take the risk of not getting your puppy and losing what you have paid her.

 Yes I refused to sell you a puppy!! Immediately upon hearing you had been investigated and been turned down by several rescues when you applied to foster dogs. You are unstable and don't have a safe environment to care for animals. Two of your dogs died due to carelessness. I had held this puppy for weeks after numerous excuses by you for not coming to get the puppy. You were supposed to sign the contract when we met. Within 3 weeks I refunded your deposit in full! She has lied to turn this entire situation to her benefit. Anyone can go to my FB to see my reputation with puppy buyers, rescue and fundraising to save Griffs at puppy mill auctions. I'll be glad to send a list of references including my vet.
