Mega Tan Rip-off King Bill Groh opens another Tanning Salon under another name after bilking thousands out of millions from Texas to Arizona
Hey, I was another victim of that slime ball, bill Groh, his wife, employees, mega tan, big bear tan, a thief, a master liar, a horrific slime ball, what a total a*****e, I just think he is the lowest thing on the earth.
He ripped me off at mega tan, then when I went back to his new big bear tan in Fountain Hills AZ to use a membership that had been paid for at the mega tan, and was told that i would be able to use it at big bear, he told me that he was thru honoring mega tan past memberships, and that i was going to have to apply it to a package at big bear, and that he wanted more money, HELLO MORE MONEY, I already paid once for a membership! He was the one who couldn't honor my membership, I paid, he didn't deliver the goods to me, the consumer, TANNING !!!
HE WENT OUT OF BUSINESS, and to make matters worse I was told that my honor time had expired March first 2001, and this was on March second. I had no credit on the 120.00 I had paid on previous mega tan membership that I couldn't use because the a*s hole ran the business, mega tan, in the ground and when i went to mega tan to use the membership I had paid for it was closed!! what balls this man has, I was one day late and had been a regular mega tan member......what f' ing gall.... these people including his wife kissed members asses and acted like we were special, i thought they were nice people, always friendly, but God forbid you got close to expiring on your tanning sessions, well you have only a month left you better revue now while it is on sale, well hello i have a month to go.... i started to not trust them and good thing i only paid cash up front, however i am screwed out of 120.00 and since i was there march second, bill, the a*s hole he is, told me that my credit was no good, didn't want to talk about mega tan, that he was tired of giving out credits on mega tan, hello, credits, on mega tan, he owned, or ran it.
i paid to tan, he was running the place, and i cant use the tanning package i paid for, and he is tired of giving "CREDITS" what credit, i paid for it.
So I told him that I would find another place to tan, and left, as I felt like, well once screwed, not going to give them more money to use the sessions I had already paid for, and I walked out, and then a few days later saw picketers all up and down the street and got info from them on this web site, and oh my God that man who ripped me off has a rap sheet a mile long, and i am now very pissed at the attorney generals office in the state of AZ, to let him conduct business after all that he has been involved in as far as fraud etc., i am so shocked.
I don't want anyone else to get ripped off, as I have been by bill Groh, the slime ball that he is, what low, low, scum, absolute scum bag he is, or any of his company, fountain hills Arizona is a small friendly town of about 16,000 people, and he has taken the heart and trust out of our small town people.

This Salon is being fronted by Bill Groh's brother-in-law that has Tanning Salons in Texas that were opened originally by Bill Groh and actually still owned by Bill Groh.
These stores escaped closing several years ago when Bill Groh was convicted in Texas and had to pay back only thousands out of millions he bilked. According to Bill Groh, he gave these stores to his brother-in-law and Bill is the one that actually owns the salons in Texas to this day, under a different name(s).

Bill and/or Janelle Groh are now managing Big Bear Tan (BBT) in Fountain Hills, which opened in November of 2000. This was the previous Mega Tan location. The new members are being informed that the new owner is from Plano, Texas and insinuate they are only employees. .. this is a part of their game. They never own them. They have such a huge personal and employee tax debt they always have to have the businesses in a relatives name. But they are running out of relatives.
They forget to tell new members that the new owner is Terry LaNoue, Janelle's brother. He is their Arizona front man! Terry lives in Texas and Bill Groh is handling the money!!! Misleading tanning promotions and post dated checks and credit cards are continuing. These are illegal!!! At one point they were running the credit cards in Arizona through Texas. That's illegal.
Pictures were taken of Bill Groh moving the equipment from the locked-out and bankrupt Mega Tan stores into his Fountain Hills store. There was so much stuff that was stolen, he had to rent storage. This is one of many things the Groh's did to Comit bankruptcy fraud. .. THIS IS HOW MEMBERS GOT RIPPED OFF IN THE BILL GROH'S PREVIOUS BUSINESSES.

Mega tan was finally closed down by the bankruptcy trustee at the end of August of 2000 after weekly attempts, warning the trustee, that Bill Groh was at it again and there is Bankruptcy fraud going on here. Thousands lost their memberships at the three Mega Tan locations. Bill Groh / Jennifer Groh was managing / owner of Mega Tans to the very end and they were selling two for one memberships till the very last day, then locked the doors the next day. The Arizona's Attorney Generals Office was warned more than five times since January of 2000 about the serious problems with Mega Tan fraud and past history in Arizona, and warned the Bankruptcy Trustees, but neither agency took NO ACTION!
The bankruptcy trustee could not supply the potential buyer of Mega Tan in July of 2000 (as previously agreed) with the dollar amounts of post dated checks and credit cards (receivables) on hand. Bill Groh was handling these post dated checks and credit cards, and according to the potential buyer, the dollar amount of the receivables could not be substantiated. .. This resulted in no sale, a common ploy of Bill Groh, to financially drain a business to the very en, paying no bills, no taxes, screwing investors and just walking away.
It was estimated by the potential buyer, that there should have been forty to fifty-thousand dollars of receivables. The bankruptcy trustee has given no response on the missing money, which the Bankruptcy Trustee, Lawrence Warfield was legally responsible for. This should be investigated.
Either the Bankruptcy Trustee is just plain stupid, lazy or just plain corrupt. Victims should file claims against the Trustee who had all the evidence supplied to them and the State Attorney Generals office by badbusinessbureau.com and other victims.
