On September 23rd, 2005, I took my Dodge Caravan to Big O Tires in Rancho Cordova. The brake light kept coming on and when I stopped at a red light, the pedal would sink beneath my foot.

A week prior the same thing was happening and I added brake fluid as it was very low. The car drove fine. Now, with it doing it again, I knew there was a leak.

I take my car in and they check it out and tell me that the front and back brakes are gone and that it would be $696. Now I was clear across town visiting a friend and took it to the closest place. I chose Big O because I thought they were reputable.

I come back from my friend's and pick up the van and the final cost was $675. I drive home. On Tuesday, September 27, my girlfriend is driving the van and the brake light comes on. The van is doing the same thing again. We took it to a different place and they told us there was a leak and that it had been leaking for a long time. They fixed it to the tune of $230 plus $100 for a rental car in the interim.

We had our old brake parts looked at by an independent mechanic and he says they were fine and didn't need to be replaced. So not only did Big O Tires in Rancho replace brakes that didn't need replacing, they didn't even fix the problem I took the van in for in the first place!!!

When we confronted the owner, Keith Paulsen, about his garage not fixing the problem and putting on brakes we didn't need he said, "You would've needed them sooner or later." His attitude was that the other place we took it to fixed the problem, so why are we bothering him. He's a complete jerk.
