I'm writing this report to inform everyone of the crooked ways of Bill Heard Chevorlet Collierville, TN. I'm a 23 yr. old medical assistant and I have lived in Collierville, TN my whole life. I have been in every business new and old in Collierville and I must say I have never been treated so poorly and humiliated so badly as I was at Bill Heard. It sickens me to know that there is a place in Collierville that treats people like Bill Heard does.

I've been wanting a new vehicle for a while, partly because I drive a single cab truck and just need more room . My credit isn't that great, mostly because I'm only 23 and have none. So, I heard an advertisement on the radio for Bill Heard saying that credit didn't matter and that they could handle any trade even if you owe $10.000.00 more than what it's worth. Not knowing that this was a completely false advertisment it took me a couple of weeks to build up the courage to go, so I finally did, just to see what they could do if anything. I went Friday, Jan.4th, 2004. I was immediately greated by a sales person named Jason. We talked told him what I could and couldn't do, that I was pretty upside down on my truck, and didn't have great credit. We looked and test drove vehicles. Eventually he told me that I was not approved for a pre-owned vehicle and I had been for a new vehicle. Confused I agreed to look at newer vehicles and we found one. All the numbers came out to my liking and we agreed that I would make a down payment in 30 days so I post dated 2 checks one for $700 and one for $500 to come out of an account in 30 days. Insurance was paid for on the car and everything. I was told that everything was good to go, I was approved and all the final details would be sorted out the next day since it was already so late that night. I went in signed papers. Now, in purchasing my previous vehicle when I signed papers everything I signed was explained to me in detail. I asked the guy if we needed to go through anything and he said no, since it was so late we just sign and go. Nervously, I did so. I came to a "Spot Agreement" form. I asked what it was for and he said basically if you don't get finaced for the vehicle we have the right to ask you to bring it back. I said oh no I've heard about this and I'm not agreeing until I know I'm finiaced. He assured me I was and that even if I wasn't tonite they had 2 days to get me finiaced and if it didn't happened I would get a phone call in 2 days. Agreeing I went a head and signed the paper work. Once again I question Jason, the salesman, and he assured me that I was fianaced and that if something happened I would hear from them in 2 days and if I didn't everything was ok and good to go. Saturday and Sunday went by and I heard nothing. Considering they never said "2 Business Days" i figured everything was cool but still kept my guard up just in case. I gave in until Tuesday night and if I didn't hear anything I would tell myself everything was ok . I didn't hear anything at all. I was proud of myself and figured that I had my very own car in my own name, which is very very important to me, and could start basically my life own my own.

Not thinking anything I get a phone call at about 3 p.m on Wed., Jan. 9, 2008. Five days after I have been driving the brand new car. It was a sales person from Bill Heard saying I either needed to find a co-signer or give them $5000.00 more dollars on top of the 2 checks they were already holding, or I had to turn the car in. I had neither of the 2. I asked where my truck was and the guy told me he didn't know. I asked his name and he wouldn't tell me stating that he was just the guy that had to make the call. I asked where Jason was and he told me that he had be fired. I calmly told the man that they needed to find my truck before I brought the car back , because I needed a vehicle to get to and from work. He said he didn't know where the truck was and insisted I tell him when I would be able to come back up to the dealership. I agreed to come when I got off work. I then turned around and called them back, suspecting something was fishy about jason get fired, I asked for him and the receptionist informed me that he was not in today but would be back tomorrow. I called my father told him what was going on and we both went up there.

That same night we arrived we asked to talk to the highest person in the place. They sent over their top sales guy and he tried everything to make a deal and get me finaced. Nothing worked. We again asked where the truck was and again we were told that they didn't know. We asked where Jason was and they said that he had quit that past saturday. That was 3 lies in 2 hours about the employment of Jason. They asked for the car back and we refused until I had either my truck or another vehicle to drive. My dad asked that they give us until Friday to make a deal being that it was already getting late and he wanted to take the papers that I had signed to a lawyer to see what my rights were to the car. The man helping us jumped up and said well I'll go and get the lawyer for Bill Heard and you can talk to him. We agreed and were introduced to a Mr. Terrance Brown, whom later we discovered infact was not even a lawyer just another salesman acting like one to scare us. He informed me that I had no rights to the vehicle and the I must give them the keys, whether I had a vehicle to drive or not. Please keep in mind I have given them checks for a down payment, signed all paperwork for the car, and paid for insurance for 1 month on the car. We refused. Finally after a moment of arguing we all agreed to return on friday and work out a deal. I was assured by Mr. Brown that the checks for the down payment would not be sent through being as that I was not going to be able to keep the car, and still we were being told that they didn't know where my truck was.

My father returned Friday afternoon at about 12:30 pm and started working with them to get me into another vehicle. The ONLY vehicle that I supposedly could get approved for was a 2006 colbat, but I would be paying the same amount as they had figured for the 2008 I had been driving. The 2006 Colbalt was damaged with stained seats and chips in the hoods paint. Feeling that this was completely ridiculous I disagreed and decided to just call everything off. I wanted my vehicle and my money back and wanted to go home. I was tired of being jerked around. I requested that my truck be brought back around, we would trade keys to vehicles and I requested my 2 checks back. The salesman helping went inside and came back to inform us that one of the $700 checks had already been sent through. I was angry. I had been told numerous times that they wouldn't send anything through, and they did. I asked why the check was deposited, and they informed me that it was a mistake. My father, furious at this time, confronted Mr. Brown and called him a lair. Mr. Brown then laughed in his face and jokingly said "Sir I don't know who you are". As upset as that made my dad, he turned around and walked outside, upon walking outside a younger sales guy heard my dad fussing and began to egg him on. My dad told him he needed to go away and the salesman proceeded to tell my father that he would "Woop the s**t out of him, and that he didn't want to mess with him" Stunned, I gave the guy a nasty look and he proceeded to tell me "Girl don't look at me. You better wipe that look off your face before I do it for you". WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THIS?! This is the most unprofessional place I have ever stepped foot in. During this time all the salesman had gathered around and started laughing and pointing fingers. I felt like I was in kindergarden again. I decided to stand off to the side, unfortunatly I heard Mr. Brown talking about why he sent my check through. Since I had driven the car for basically a week it took value off the car i.e. more mile put on the car. They tried to charge me $49 dollars a day and .39 cents for every mile I had put on the car. When I refused to pay the money they decided to send the $700 check through as payment and they were not going to refund the money. Luckily, I did get a stop payment put on the check just in time. As I got the confirmation that the stop payment had be placed, I in return asked for the other check, and ripped it up. I also asked for my truck , which was brought around. Sadly, as a joke the back passenger tire was completely flat. I listened to the hackles and jokes of "How you gonna get home now little girl". I then trade keys and took my truck home. I have never ever been so angry and frustrated as I have been that day. I will never ever step foot on Bill Heard property again. These people are horrible and they know what they are doing and will laugh in your face about it. Now after all the events unfolded, I must say I'm not proud of some of the things that were said, but the games the people play are just crazy. I hope nobody ever has to go through what I went through just so somebody can make a quick buck. Bill Heard Chevorlet Collierville, TN is a horrible business. The people that work there are childish and very very unprofessional. I've never been to a business as bad as Bill Heard. I just hope everyone becomes aware of their wrong doings and never ever try to buy a vehicle from there.
