my husband and i were contacted about buying a vehicle from bill heard towncenter in kennesaw, georgia. we had received a "check" to go toward the purchase of a new or used vehicle. i had already thrown the "check" in the garbage. the man that called actually called us twice. my husband told him we had some credit problems but he assured us that was what the check was for and we were already approved. i even asked if we were really approved and was told the dealership, mr. freddie grogan assured us we were approved.we picked out a chevy cobalt with no extras and when it was time to sign the papers, we both asked the finance manager, mr.campbell, if we had been approved. his answer was yes. after having the cobalt for almost a month, we received a phone call sayin they needed $4000 or a co-signer. we told them that they would have to come get the car.the MSRP was taken off the vehicle by bill heard employees.don't sign if something doesn't seem right. this lesson, we learned the hard way. even the guy who came and got the car said he had never seen anything like it.the complaints outweigh by far any good about bill heard. this is in more states that georgia. we were rushed through the paper signing and were also told by mr. grogan, salesperson, what we could and could not afford. we were upfront and honest with paper work to prove everything but mr. grogan and mr. campbell were not. we are trying to get our credit straightned out as my husband was a victim of identiti theft. something needs to be done to stop these kind of business practices. my husband own our home and after his being very ill for a year this was like a slap in the face. i believe that this dealer preys on people with less that perfect credit. they can then resell the car at an auction and not lose any money.
