was struggling to pay my bills due to decrease in pay until I totally lost my job in August. Bill me later started calling me 3-4 times a day 7 days a week. I talked to someone and told them I had lost my job and needed help but they said they couldnt do anything and I had to come up with a payment of over $200. I told them I couldnt but they wouldnt budge so I stopped answering their calls. After 2 months I answered the phone again and asked AGAIN if they could work with me as I was 3 months behind in my mortgage, was going to food pantrys to get my food, and getting charities to help me with my utlilites. Again they wouldnt work with me and continued to tack on "late fee" and high interest fees. In December I spoke to a rep who told me that I could make a $67 payment for 3 months and maybe by then they could put me on a hardship program. I have done that for 2 months and now the calls have started again.
The rep today told me that no where does it say that I can make those $67 payments and basically it is just a wash and not making a d**n difference at all. He said I owe them $1300 and when would I pay it. Didnt even bother to ask to speak to a supervisor as it is obvious that no one listens and doesnt care. I told the rep that they can call me 100 times a day, as I will no longer answer their calls as they are not working with someone who is almost homeless yet trying to pay back their debt but cannot come up with the ridiculous amount they are asking for when I cannot even purchase food or pay for my mortgage. A hugely mismanaged company who deliberately calls you constantly until you can no longer take the harrassment. Wish I could block the calls. Run, Run from this company. I never planned on losing my job of 14 years, this company doesnt give a crap about anyone who is struggling and in need of some leeway.
