Biolife Plasma Treated Poorly, No Response from Complaint Center, and Permanently Deferred! Denton Texas

I went to Biolife in Denton as a first time donor in 2014. After an hour of answering their questions, I went to the nurse in training to review my physical history. I told the nurse I had been hypothyroid but was regulating my thyroid through diet and exercise. I had stopped taking my pills several months early but worked out and ate healthy for the past 30 years. Her response was, "you know, if you took your medication and worked out,  you would lose weight." I found that highly disrespectful. She couldn't spell thyroid and didn't know the difference between hyper and hypo. At 54 years old, I was doing everything to be healthy. I was deferred and told to return when I could prove that my blood work was normal. I filed a complaint against the nurse and was asked for corporate to contact me. They never did. 

I returned last week with my blood results in hand proving that I was on no medication. I waited to see the nurse Tina, a new nurse. She logged in and looked at my profile. She left me alone for a few moments, returned and said, "I'm sorry. You are permanently deferred and there is nothing I can do about it." She stated that I had asked the previous nurse to falsify my records. I was appalled and stated that this is an absolute lie. I asked her for the name of the previous nurse and she said she didn't know. This is another lie because she had left to look at my file. She refused to even look at my paperwork.

I am a lifetime donor of RBC to Carter and the Red Cross. I am appalled that they treat their donors in this manner and don't bother to follow up with complaints. Their employees need to learn some manners. I know they are a money making business selling our plasma to major hospital and pharmaceutical companies.
