I was looking at Florida Tech to complete my BS Business Admin/Mgmt and was contacted by a Laurie Keyser who represented herself to me as being onsight at the school.  That was just the first instance is misrepresentation.  I enrolled as a full-time online student in November and late December I found out that I would be going through Bisk Education/University Alliance for my online classes.  I won't bore you with every offense but they range from not being allowed to pick my first two classes, to them throwing in a manditory third class, to ignoring my feedback of not being able to keep up with the three classes, having unresolved issues in my Philosophy class and being advised to not withdraw so that I keep my financial aid.  I was encouraged to enroll again for Spring 2 Term but that was MY mistake and boy do I regret it.  They sent me books for Summer 1 even though I was not in attendence and then sent me to collections.  They also told me that I owed money and actually had me set up payments, only for me to find out at a later date that loans/grants covered everything and that they should have not taken ANY money out of my account (I haven't even begun to fight for that money yet).  Their representative told me that they were going to get me an RMA to return the books when he found out that I never attended Summer 1 Term and then I never heard from him.  I sent an email to him, called him and emailed my enrollment counselor and never got a response.  Finally, I contacted my enrollment counselor via phone and explained everything that had happened.  She told me that I could not get an RMA but that I could return the books at my own expense, she apologized for the misinformation (I should have known that was too good to be true), and even looked up how much it was going to cost for me to ship them back to the school.  I told her that I would try to get them back as soon as possible but that I had been laid off and my husband was not working so it would be a little bit before I could return them.  She even emailed me the return address.  I then received a phone call a week later stating that I was in collections and offering to make payment arrangements, when I told this representative about the conversation I had just had with my enrollment counselor, she informed me that I couldn't return books after 30 days.  I she asked me to send any documentation that supported my claims, which I did today, only to receive a phone call and an email from the enrollment counselor calling me a liar and saying that I forced her to send me a return address but that she told me they couldn't be returned.  If that was the case, did I force her to look up the cost to return them too?  It sure is hard to hold a gun to someone's head and cause them to do research on your behalf and send you emails when you don't own a gun AND you are a 5 hour flight away from them!  Anyway, I am still in battle with them but sure would be interested in a Class Action lawsuit against them, I hope they lose all of their school contracts and have no problem contacting anyone I can to bring as much visibility to their dishonest business practices as possible.  I know people need to make money, but there are ways to do it so that everyone wins.  Hopefully, Florida Tech will get wise and severe all relationships with them.

it is free to file, you should talk to lwyr about this. and, anything about the contract a lawyer tells me isnt binding because it is fraud. the judge has to look at it. you should do it and go for a default.and also try this arbitration with rip off report. if they dont agree it would not look good if you take them to court in florida. by the way, they have a jury for small claims there. pretty cool
